In 2012, NASA was gifted two Hubble-grade telescopes by the NRO. NASA decided to use one for its Wide Field Infrared Survey Telescope mission. Here are pictures of WFIRST's optical assembly. It is planned to launch in the mid 2020's and will be headed for the L2 Sun-Earth Lagrangian point.
