There are aliens from other planets.
However, the "aliens" who are abducting people in the sort of scenario portrayed in Fire in the Sky and the sort of "aliens" that look like the two pictures on this subreddits home page are actually inter-dimensional ants originally from Earth.
When ants die they go to their own realm. It is an inter-dimensional realm and they have amazing power over us. There are so many of them that they are superior in power to humans.
Realize that ants are very special. They have an amazing work ethic and are born to work in large teams. Ants are full of individual personality that is simply hidden from humans. Ants can carry many multiples of their own weight, so they "feel" humongous to themselves. Much bigger than humans feel. They communicate telepathically on the other side. They aren't too far away from it on Earth actually.
These are the aliens from our dreams.
Some call them The Greys...
