My Grandfather’s Experience

There’s been a lot of talk here about cigar-shaped UFOs lately so I figured it was the right time to tell the story that my I was told by my dad about my paternal grandfather’s experience with a UFO. I’m telling this third-hand so forgive me if I have to come back and tweak a few details I get wrong the first time around. Well I’ll start by introducing what brought my grandfather to this situation; during the start of WWII Canada was drafting men into the army and my grandfather was one of these young people who had been drafted, fortunately for him he had an unidentified spot on one of his lungs (never turned out to be anything really, probably just a birth mark) which prevented him from joining the army, so he was released back into the general public where there was an abundance of jobs now. He could get a job virtually wherever he wanted but he chose to work cutting down trees I believe. Anyways basically he worked through most seasons and the policy was that they didn’t stop working unless the horses’ noses bled, which was usually around -40C. Can’t say I’m sure why he chose to do that, from the description it sounded very brutal. The point is, he worked out in the forest a lot with just a few other people. On one of these occasions him and his coworkers were working on an elevated area of land (I think on a cliff? I’ll edit this if I find out) so that they could see the treetops as the visible horizon. This is when my grandfather watched a cigar-shaped object hovering just above the treetops very slowly, deliberately before taking off at impossible speeds. Basically one second it was there and the next it wasn’t. Very similar to a lot of other witness accounts. Now I know there’s a lot of stigmatism and skepticism around UFO stories on the internet, but I have to argue that for one, my grandfather was not a person invested in conspiracy theories and UFOs and the like, he was a pretty straight-edge dude. I also have to mention again that I only learned this story some time after he died third-hand by my own dad, so I have no more assurance in the integrity of this story than any of you, but I trust that he wouldn’t just make this up which is why I’ve gone and shared it here. Anyhow thanks for reading!
