This is r/aliens , so I would like to make it more simple by beginning with a few basic premise or hypothesis.

"Humanity", as a subset of species, has been around for longer than mainstream science says.

"Humanity's" history has been irrevocably altered/destroyed/manipulated up to the present day.

"Humanity" has also been genetically manipulated for many different reasons.
-
"Humanity" has been in contact with more than one race doing one or more of the above.
If we accept that any of the above is true it brings into question so many things about our world. About our species. About what is possible and what we can become.
This "phenomenology of contact" explains/makes clear/or obscures the differences between everyone. Even on the individual basis.
