Hi all! As a physics undergrad, keeping up with and watching the recent Insight mission has been awe inspiring. Since I was young, my goal has been to work on mission such as these, and I was wondering how much of a role physicists play in these. Obviously they are necessary for tracking celestial mechanics etc but I seem to only hear about engineers working on these projects.. do these projects also employ large numbers of physicists without an engineering background? What are some good paths (concentrations, grad school degrees) to take to increase my chances of ending up being able to work on these projects?
