Random thought: What if aliens land, and they are gross creepy giant spiders? We're all trying to be nice and get to know them, but the elephant in the room is that they freak most of us out.
And it turns out we're also their worst nightmare of an idea of a species. They look at our gangling digits with terrifying knife like nails, our freakish array of white razor teeth, our flabby smooth flesh with hairs piercing through, and our two giant wet eyes swivelling about, following them wherever they walk. And they're all saying to themselves: The megascorpion (the elephant of their world) in the room is that we freak most of them out!
