Does NASA care if you're pursuing a BEng in Engineering instead of a BSc in Engineering? (Internship)

I am a dual US/Canadian citizen pursuing a BEng honors (CEAB accredited) in Mechanical Engineering in Canada. I am hoping to intern at NASA and currently working to get my GPA up by my 2nd or 3rd year near that 3.5-3.8 mark. I have 2 current mechanical positions in extracurricular activities that aid my application (Canadian Satellite Design Challenge Team & my university rover team).

Would mentors care if an American citizen studying in Canada applied who's pursuing a BEng instead of a BSc? Or does NASA solely select domestic applicants? because every YouTube video and NASA Q&A with interns had American citizens who attend American universities/colleges.
