Guglielmina, Professore associato di Geografia fisica e Geomorfologia all’Università degli Studi di Milano (Dipartimento di Scienze e politiche ambientali, ESP) è una studiosa dei ghiacciai alpini ed extra alpini, delle acque superficiali e della climatologia alpina. Durante il suo percorso ha affrontato casi di studio sulle Alpi Italiane, in Karakorum e Himalaya, sulle Ande e in Antartide. Ha coordinato numerosi progetti di ricerca sia nazionale che internazionale, anche nell’ambito di programmi di cooperazione e di supporto allo sviluppo sostenibile. E’ autrice di oltre 100 pubblicazioni internazionali. Molto attenta sul fronte della terza missione, è costantemente impegnata nella diffusione di informazioni e dati sugli impatti del climate change nelle aree montane presso scuole, associazioni, enti. Insieme al collega V. Maggi, è coordinatrice del Tavolo permanente Biosfera e Territorio agli Stati Generali della Montagna presso il Dipartimento Affari generali e autonomie (DARA) del Governo italiano Associate Professor of Physical Geography and Geomorphology at the University of Milan (Department of Environmental Sciences and Policies, ESP) and she is a scholar of Alpine and extra-alpine glaciers, surface waters and alpine climatology. During her career she has studied Italian Alps, Karakorum and Himalayas, the Andes and Antarctica. She has coordinated several research projects both nationally and internationally, including the branch of cooperation programs and sustainable development. She published more than 100 international publications. She is very attentive in relation to the third mission and she is constantly engaged in the dissemination of information and data on the impacts of climate change in mountain areas in schools, associations, institutions. Together with her colleague V. Maggi, she coordinates the Permanent Biosphere and Territory Table at the General States of Mountains within the Department of General and Autonomous Affairs (DARA) of the Italian Government.
