I’m a 15 y/o Canadian looking to work for NASA. What are some of the possible ways I can accomplish this?

Since NASA is government agency, I can’t work in it unless I’m an American citizen. I don’t know how long it takes to be an American citizen, but if it’s anything like becoming a Canadian citizen, it’d take me ~5-6 years.

Does that mean that after college (since spending time in a country doesn’t count if you’re on a student visa right?), I’d have to spend an additional 5-6 years in the U.S. just to be considered for NASA?

Anyone out there who immigrated to U.S. to fulfill their dream of working at NASA? If I can’t follow my previous plan, what is the next best possible plan if I want to help space exploration and dabble in astrophysics?
