The Epic of Gilgamesh is one of the most fascinating myths in human history, and not surprising its from one of the most fascinating places in human history, ancient Sumeria. The stories first appear in written form on clay tablets over 4000 years old, and the sometimes striking similarities it has to later works such as the Bibles Book of Genesis, the apocryphal Book of Enoch, and even Homers Iliad have caught the attention of many a mind! Despite being so old and having a fair amount of name recognition, have a you ever actually read or heard the epic story?
