The French scientist Jacques Vallée invented a system of analysis regarding the UFO phenomena that is referred to as the "post-modern approach." The idea centers around the notion we should not be simply studying the phenomena of UFOs themselves, but specifically the effects the phenomena and encounters are having on our civilization. This approach helps us to determine what might actually be on the minds of these aliens who are showing up in our airspace. These events are occurring by the hundreds (if not thousands per year) around the planet and yet the aliens are not approaching us directly. This is having a subtle, yet dramatic impact on our planet. Why are they doing it?
I believe these visitations from UFOs foster a modality of awe and wonderment. They challenge preconceived notions of the dominance of man in the cosmos and leaves in its place a new humility towards Reality. As the community of believers rapidly expands with mainstream press now covering UFOs, we will become a more open minded and enlightened species. The planet will slowly "wake up" exponentially in roll-out fashion to its residence in the stars and become something new. The UFO phenomena is ultimately a "unifying factor" of our Reality. We are being prepared for something gigantic in the future. An arrival that pushes beyond anything seen in a Hollywood film. This is what we should prepare for as a species: the day of contact, regardless of how far in the future this day may occur.
We are not alone, yet we are mere infants on the galactic stage. We are children in a sandbox, oblivious to the actual dangers of Reality as it exists in the deeply technological zeitgeist of the aliens. We are being shielded for the time being. Why else would they not make proper contact with us, yet spend the time to expose themselves to so many as UFOs?
