I find this story fascinating but I can't help wondering that this Betelgeuse supernova has already wiped out the binary star system zeta reticuli by a few good hundreds of years and long before Barney and Betty were even alive. This supernova has probably already destroyed a huge part of Orion's arm. A civilization as advanced as they Grey's have probably exodused from there anyway.
Suppose we will soon find out if it will actually happen rendering a lot of zetan myths redundant.
