Could I be an intern?

Hi everyone!

I am currently a junior in high school and I would love to be an intern at NASA for the summer of 2021. I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and am currently taking AP Chemistry II and AP Calc BC (along with 4 other non-STEM classes).

Outside of school, I have done a long political internship, an internship at a law firm, played violin at my local youth symphony and regionals festivals, and have done a lot of volunteer work. However, none of my extracurriculars are directly related to STEM.

I learn quickly and am willing to put in the work to build up my resume. If anyone thinks this goal of mine is achievable, I’d really appreciate some advice on how to up my chances. I have always had a passion for math and science but struggled finding ways to get involved, so please let me know of any extracurricular opportunities in astrophysics/astronomy. Advice on reaching out or mentors would also be of great help.

If you think I have no chance, let me down easy :)

Thank you!

P.S. Sorry if this is the wrong flair! I don’t use reddit too often.
