United Launch Alliance’s Delta IV Heavy rocket will launch the NROL-44 classified payload for the National Reconnaissance Office. The rocket will lift off from Space Launch Complex 37B (SLC-37B) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.

Launch window begins at 08:09pm ET (01:09am UTC)

The Delta IV Heavy three core first stage consists of the core booster stage plus the side boosters. Each of these is known as a Common Booster Core (CBC). Each of the 3 CBCs on the launch configuration is 40.8 m (134 ft) long, features one RS-68A engine each running on Liquid Hydrogen (LH2) and Liquid Oxygen (or LOX). The combined thrust of all three CBCs running together is 9,420 KN (2,120,000 lb).

This will be the 12th launch of a Delta IV Heavy rocket and 142nd all-time mission for ULA.
