J.M. Bernstein gives the second talk on the introductory section of Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit. This comes from a 1994 course on Hegel and the Phenomenology of Spirit given at Berkeley. It is the original series of the so-called "Bernstein Tapes". Note, professor Bernstein reads Hegel's Phenomenology as a tragedy.
