Who's to say that a branch of early beings didn't branch off from reptiles, the same way we branched off from apes?
How is evolving from reptiles any more ridiculous than apes?
Why apes only? Why didn't other animals have evolutions that ended in something sentient and intelligent? It's not like apes are special in any way compared to other animals. Sure they're smart, and strong, but there are far smarter, and stronger animals.
So what is it then? It seems ridiculous to me that the only beings capable of evolving into something resembling us, are apes. The more you think about it, the stranger it seems.
Now I'm not saying Reptilians would've evolved from like, geckos or something. Think back to creatures that were at the top of the food chain for a long, long time before us. Dinosaurs.
There were dinosaurs that were extremely intelligent, and adaptable. There was nothing back then that a dinosaur had to fear, except maybe other dinosaurs. They were us. We don't fear animals unless we're in the wild exposed, on their territory. I'm sure some animals were capable of killing dinosaurs with ease, but I doubt any animals were active hunters of dinosaurs.
My point here, is that human evolution is unlikely to be a unique event. 1 creature out of trillions, and were the only one that got lucky? I just can't swallow that. I'm not here to say Reptilians are real, I'm here to say statistics does not support us being the only sentient, intelligent things.
What if Reptilians have a common ancestor that is a dinosaur, instead an ape... What if they are humanoid, and are more advanced because they've been here longer than us? What if they developed technology that allows them to appear just like we do, so that they may intermingle as they please?
