The types of beings that would use a vehicle to traverse space could be considered among the lowest tiers of life forms in existence. Do you agree/disagree? Why?

A thought I had on alien species that we would essentially consider gods. In all my brainstorming there's no way the highest, most advanced aliens in the universe would ever limit themselves to a shiny metal death trap that would crash to earth. Those beings are most likely a tiny step above us all things considered in the universal scheme.
