So yesterday I went on a bit of a youtube binge watching all the classic videos pertaining to different decades they were released.
And what becomes immediately obvious is the fact that these hoaxes, show a clear pattern in terms of reflecting the available tecnological means for creating such videos. For example in the 90’s the CGI was really not very impressive, not even with a Hollywood budget. So as a result, the hoaxers/grifters of that era relied on the effectiveness of clay moulding and dolls. Utilizing amore practical approach, than todays readily available and convincing CGI. Mirroring much of what was used for TV and Movie production in the 80’s/90’s. Which relied more on practical effects such as puppeteering and animatronics. Fast forwards to 2011 when the video of the so called “Skinny Bob” was released online. I’m amazed that to this day people to a large degree want to believe that’s real. Despite the footage displaying many of the hallmark traits of computer generated immagery. Isn’t time to debunk or verify this once and for all? There should be ample with deepfake detection algos that could analyze it, or CGI experts such as Corridor crew.
