In this talk, Ashima takes us through her journey in living up to her namesake and how that led to founding her first company, Dreami. She discusses how the lack of mentorship in her education and career has impacted her negatively and how she is shifting that narrative for others by making mentorship more accessible.
Ashima is a Product Strategy leader with a background in Chemical Engineering and Corporate Strategy. Ashima is obsessed about the concept that together, we are limitless and has founded Dreami to embody that belief. When not working on making mentorship accessible, Ashima can be found backpacking or hiking in the Sierra Nevada. Ashima has 7 years of work experience, varying from engineering to corporate strategy and currently, product strategy. After navigating imposter syndrome throughout high school, college and her career, as well as a difficult career pivot, Ashima is committed to making mentorship much more accessible. She is passionate about the impact of mentorship and is the founder of Dreami, a mentorship platform that ensures everyone has an empowering mentor in their career. Ashima is a Bay Area native and spends her free time hiking and camping. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
