Elon Musk says civilisation will ‘crumble’ if people don’t have more kids | The Independent

I hate to be the one that questions the demi-god tech billionaire Elon Musk.. But considering that religion is man-made and that climate change is man-made..... Then shouldn't we PRESERVE this earth???

Ok, what does this have to do with aliens?

Let me explain..

Elon Musk wants to increase our population, economy, increase our knowledge, increase our standard of living, bigger, bigger, and bigger... All so that we can reasonably afford to go out into space and start a civilization before this earth gets slammed by an apocalypse. Hey I agree, we need humans to spread out so that our species can survive in space ASAP.

I think COMPLETELY different. I think we need to go slower and downsize to protect the earth. We got time. And an asteroid isn't gunna hit us probably for a longg time. We need to preserve this earth. Decrease our population to a conservative 2 billion people- I hear that the earth can sustain that many people without hurting the environment. I think we need to stop sending our radio waves off into space, so that aliens don't come and demolish us. We need to hide, get rid of our nukes, and be as careful as possible as a species.

Elon Musk thinks openly and is more risky and is urgent.

I think we should shut off our world to the dangerous universe, be much more cautious, and be patient.

In all of human existence we have never really CHOSEN our evolution. We might be able to CHOOSE our evolution as a species now. Do we want to destroy this planet and go into space? OR save the planet and EVENTUALLY go to space. I mean we will get to space eventually and both plans are good. Shoot I mean I don't have a monopoly and the right answer. Maybe an increased population would mean that we could create better technology tools to save the planet with.

Also...

Think about it....

Why have we not seen aliens?? controversial i know..

Maybe alien life is so rare because they have blown themselves up on accident? or maybe alien civilizations hide because they fear other dangerous alien civilizations? We don't know the dynamics of how aliens species interact with each other and if they do interact with each other.

If alien life is rare. Then we need to be cautious of outside threats.

We got time on our side. We need to preserve the planet and SLOWLY make strategic moves as a species. (I know I'm thinking too idealistically here. not too pragmatic).

We need to be wise in the decisions we make because its like a video game. You play, play, play.... go up the levels. And then you get shot and killed and die..

Maybe we should THINK about every single small decision while playing this video game, so that our species can LIVE forever and evolve for millions of years.. slow and cautious may be better

And before you get mad at me for being an alien skeptic. I want to reassure you that I do BELIEVE, BUT I also like thinking about other possible scenarios and thinking about the philosophy of different case scenarios.
