What would aliens use for food? harvesting a planets main species for food? Or nah

I’ve wondered if earth could ever be a pit stop for some giant mothership that needed to resupply on calories/nutrients for their people. Would they take the humans since they’re massed or ocean creatures/land animals

I mean then again if they’re that smart they probably just ingest something that is highly dense in nutrients.

Also depends if they’re made of the same and even able to digest our planets meat

Anyway, frozen humans in the billions to be eaten by some alien race doesn’t sound fun for us at least Just a late night thought
