The Grey aliens are actually Japanese people from some timeline, in a far future. The "Japanese", who are now the Greys, were devastated by radiation poisoning and decided to travel back in time for experimentational purposes, which included: methods of physical repair to body tissue as well as hybridization of their species and ours; to put it simply, they needed another race to replace their dying species as well as animal and human tissue to repair their damaged bodies.
In addition to this, the Greys are also forcefully taking Earth's copper as their own and striping the planet of the material, which is needed for UFOs to function properly, as well as removing hydrogen from our planet's water, in order to complete the process necessary to create fusion energy.

Going off on this, it would also explain the implementation and frequent usage of shorter androids for work purposes in their society, as Japan has already been utilizing robots in theirs; specifically, with: Honda's Asimo, in Pop-Up Cafes that have robots controlled remotely by people with disabilities, in the Pepper Parlor that's a robot operated cafe in Toyko, in Nursing homes and used as tour guides in Japan, and so on.

When viewing both groups, side by side, it becomes apparent how similar each is to one another; the body type of the Tall Greys is akin to that of the Japanese by being thin with barely any fat or muscle mass.
The Greys repress their emotions and thoughts due to strong societal pressure just like those in Japan, who are constantly pressed to do the same.
The Greys need for cloning due to a lack of mass reproduction in their population through a more natural means, which is also a bi-product of one being immersed, surrounded, and entirely dependent on technology; furthermore, in being how quasi Japan is to the Grey's society by currently experiencing not only a decline in their birth rate, but also an increase in herbivorous, or celibate, men that choose to abstain from intimate relations.
Some of which, utilize artificial intelligence to create outlets for companionship. All during a time when the Japanese are becoming more and more codependent on their technology.

When looking @ the given sources and information, it seems that the possibility of the Greys being previously Japanese in their evolutionary history and from some timeline, in a far future, is fairly likely. One of the reasons I use "from some timeline, in a far future" is due to a few questions that present themselves when taking the Grey aliens existence into consideration.
Firstly, why are the Greys are able to manipulate humans on Earth, and have done so for thousands of years, without the intervention from other alien races/previous ethnic groups that have evolved on Earth at the same time? Secondly, why does the Greys societal structure and their physical characteristics, match Japanese society so well, but not others?
