THE GREYS: A handy checklist of their commonly quoted characteristics:
-
A thin and diminutive (3.5'- 4.5') grey, anthropomorphic figure with a large head and four limbs.
-
Slim and elongated bodies lacking in muscular definition.
-
Short legs, jointed differently to humans, with knees that can bend backwards giving them an apparently awkward gait.
-
Their arms are proportionally longer and can reach down to their knees. Long slender hands with unusually porous skin.
-
A bulbous bald head with elongated cranium: enlarged parietal bone stretches back giving the head an oval shape in profile. Females may have a slight hair-patch atop the head.
-
The face is flat with small maxilla & mandible (jaw) bones. Combined with the large cranium this gives the head a triangular appearance when viewed from the front.
-
Large, shiny black oval eyes spaced far apart and distended. Slightly slanted with a well- defined brow ridge. Their eyes have a human composition but the large dark iris can give them a completely black appearance when viewed from a distance.
-
Small vestigial slit-like mouth which is no longer functional for ingesting food or for communication. This mouth opens into a small cavity and has no lips, teeth or tongue.
- Nutrients may be ingested through the skin.
-
Ears manifest as holes on the side of the head - there is no "pinna" (external part of the ear).
-
Slit-like nostrils on a flat face with only a slight protuberance to define the nose.
