Russia, aliens and Area 51

I was just thinking, there have been stories about alien visits, abductions and technology since the 1940s. A lot of people accuse the USA of harbouring alien spacecraft, or hosting extraterrestrial visitors. Many people claim to have been abducted and taken into spaceships by aliens. None of this will be new to anyone reading this. We're all familiar with the gist of these stories.

Now, there is conflict with Russia, and NATO is funneling arms and resources and training to Ukraine to fight a conventional war against Russia.

There was a "Cold War", from the end of WW2 until Perestroika, and then the end of the Soviet Union and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Then, the Cold War was over. However, during the Cold War, the USSR was a serious superpower. It built a lot of weapons, it had advanced technology, and its political influence spread right the way over to the shores of the USA at one point (Cuban missile crisis). It was the first in space, and was in a space race with the USA having to up its ante and take the first man to the moon in the 1960s. The USSR's intelligence and counterintelligence capabilities were so powerful that they actually led to the head of MI5 being a KGB double agent at one point in the 1950s (as per Peter Wright), and the Kilby affair, the Cambridge dunces, etc.

Putin is a former KGB man. He will have access to all the intelligence accumulated by the KGB during the Cold War. Currently, relations between Russia and NATO are extremely rocky...

My question is, why isn't he pulling an Edward Snowden, right now? Through Russian media, etc. We all want to know if extraterrestrial aliens and their craft are being dissected (or hosted) at Area 51. If he started to reveal American secrets about Area 51, even if they're out of date (e.g. from the time of the Cold War), America's power elite (his enemy) would absolutely hate that.

To my mind, this would suggest that Russia has no information about American cooperation, or knowledge, or involvement with, extraterrestrial intelligences. It doesn't even have old 20th century information about that. In which case, it's unlikely that America is in cahoots with aliens or has alien tech. What are your thoughts?
