Let’s assume we’re as a species at SOME POINT in the future going to figure out time traveling (at least backwards). Even if “we” figure it out 500 years, 50.000 or 5 million years from now, it means they’d be able to visit us right now. Because as long as we invent it at some point, then we could see the effects of it now although the future hasn’t happened yet. That would explain a lot of things, like why they don’t intervene for example.
