Do UFOs do more than just fly around?

When you think about UFOs there’s always two parts.

1. They just fly around watching us.

2. They mutilate cattle, make crop circles, abduct humans, turn off nuclear weapons, engage with fighter pilots, Lift up vehicles, physically land and beings come out and talk to school children, etc. etc.

Are both these correct or only one of them? This is something that bothers me because I think the phenomenon is way deeper than just things flying around. What are your thoughts?
