What are some good, discussion provoking, questions to pose in a classical (Newtonian) mechanics course?

I will be working as a student assistant the coming semester and have been trying to come up with some good questions to provoke physics discussion in which all the students can participate.

Some basic questions I have thought of: - What is energy? What is force? What is position? Etc. How do we measure these quantities? - Does nature really abide by the laws of nature? Is there a difference between a law of nature and a model of nature? - What is friction? - What does it mean for a quantity to be conserved? - What is it that keeps a gyroscope toy from falling over?

I would love to hear any suggestions you might have for such questions and/or comments/modifications/answers to those I have provided.
