The other day I was lurking in the comments of a post in here (I think), and somebody referenced a book. I don't recall the title exactly. On the cover there is a painting of a human, maybe the human is a child, and a grey alien to its left, behind its shoulder.
It's about a race of aliens whose name I think begins with a 'T'. The general premise of the book is that it's a message for humanity from these aliens. The very beginning of the first chapter talks about how the universe in its beginning was a concentrated mass of awareness, which broke its self down into multiple units of awareness we think of as individualities.
I lost my link to the book and now I can't find it :/ does this ring a bell for anyone?
