Not believing is arrogant to the believers because the believers have a burning desire to believe for the sake of statistics.
Believing is arrogant to the non believers because the non believers simply understand that we have found nothing yet, and as a matter of fact, there is also the chance that we are supremely lucky and may be the only one... or another planet that had life was wiped out by a dying star and never made it to sapience or just never figured it out and destroyed their planet.
Both chances are nearly incalculable, but I just wanna say this as a non believer.... do we have proof of other life in the universe? No, but we do have proof that life can easily start under the right conditions!
How lucky are we be to even be alive since the asteroid killed the dinosaurs and that we never died to a virus or a worldwide drought or ice age? It's insurmountable luck and to think others have made it and also found us is as ridiculous as believing heaven is anywhere but inside your daily life.
We are the most sophisticated thing the universe has been able to develop and it (we) knows how to look at itself and back at the very thing that created it and question, am I an angel that was forged by something not of this universe? It's extremely unlikely, but within the laws of physics it cannot happen.
Don't be a sleepwalker. Be a lover of everything and everyone and learn to summon up joy that brings you to tears in a matter of seconds. Love your elders to the point that they feel no worry that the world would not survive without them. No one can know what you know and some people have taken more real life steps than you and that's ok. Just push through and try to make your own love that doesn't disrespect others.
