Last night I dreamt of a situation where i was In a military convoy on what seemed like a Hawaiian island. It was cloudy and dark out and we stopped for the night on a deserted stretch of highway in the shadow of one of the mountains, settling for lodging in a run down hotel. The unit leadership went inside the hotel to get us situated. We were assigned our rooms and went inside to locate them. I remember noticing the hotel staff was everywhere and they had nurse like uniforms on. They were inside my room when I got there.
This is when it got even stranger. I remember thinking ( in my dream) that I was going to be abducted and that I should just accept it, like as if these thoughts were popping up from the back of my mind with no reason. I remember freaking out trying to figure out a way to fortify the room but also being assured that nothing will prevent it from happening and that it will be okay. It was like my reflexes were confused as I was both in fight or flight mode and a relaxed state of mind. Other soldiers were in the hallway experiencing the same thing before we all went back into our rooms ( hazy on why). When I got back inside, the room was completely lit as I left all the lights on so I couldn’t be taken by surprise. Then within minutes, as I was assessing my situation, all at once the room went black and I saw an outline of something else in the room and a blue light reflecting off of a mirror next to the bathroom door. Then I woke up. I was still confused and in an almost submissive state as I realized that I had been dreaming.
These details are still as lucid in my memory as though I were still in the dream. I was in the army for 9 years, but never went to Hawaii or any tropical locations. Anyone else experience this type of thing with such intricate detail? I even remember the detail on the bed spread and wall paper...
