What if aliens are actually from Earth? Much like humans–compared to apes–they just became advanced super quick and left the planet a long time ago. Now they just come back every now & then to study us…. In our relationship, it's like they're Jane Goodall and we're chimps.

This may even align with some Bigfoot theories that it (Bigfoot) is associated with alien/UFO sightings. Like if Bigfoots--Bigfeet? Bigfeets?--were around back when aliens left and they took some up to space, and the aliens are doing things like some wildlife conservation groups do where they're trying to reintroduce Bigfoot into the wild.
