i wrote this as a reply in another post, but i'd like to pose it as a question/topic.
greys have always terrified me. i write this as a normal person with no unusual experiences. but the images of them are terrifying, inducing sheer panic and fear.
10ft giant monster-style aliens, meh, maybe a bit scary with big teeth or something, but greys, fuck me dead - anxiety through the roof scared. there's nothing that gets my heart going quicker, literally nothing. it's like an instinct, something deep within, instant gut wrenching fear.
it's not a fear of being hurt, it's more like instant panic, and i mean instant extreme panic. senses heightened and all that. very strange feeling.
it's strange that a face can do that. i think it's because it's not human, but it's just human-looking enough to be able to credit it with human thought, thus allowing us to make the assumption it's thinking like we are, but the expressionless face gives no clues to what it's thinking. and the eyes play a huge part in that.
