I'm a freshman in high school right now and it's always been my lifelong dream to do something space related, such as work on the ISS, mission control, or something along those lines and I'm unaware if it will ever happen to me, but I'd really appreciate it if someone could spell out some basic guidelines from here to there, and the real possibility of my dream coming true! Thanks in advance, I apologize if this isn't the right subreddit to post this kind of question.
