The fact that we bring new humans into the world every day is a clear sign for social transformation expert Barbara Holtmann that we are generally optimistic about the future, even though so much of it seems broken. But, what does that future look like for you when it’s fixed? Is there anyone else who shares your perspective? And what of climate change? How might we address its overwhelming, petrifying implications? Barbara posits that we could start by holding one another accountable and not taking offence when others ask us to do the right thing. But taking action has its dynamics. Soon after deciding to act, we typically go through a rollercoaster ride of anxiety, uncertainty, and perceived impotence. One way to ensure we stay true to our vision is to work with those who share our perspective. Through collaboration, each of us can do extraordinary things. We can do these things because we believe in the future. We can do them because it’s worth it. We can do them because we want better for our children than we’ve had for ourselves.
Barbara Holtmann developed the What it Looks Like When it’s Fixed systems model and methodology as an outcome of her doctoral thesis. Published in 2010, the methodology enables clarity of purpose and effective collaboration where there are many diverse stakeholder needs, views, and inputs in a development or transformation setting. Drawing on international and local theory and practice, the methodology is a home-grown South African innovation, implemented solely by her organisation Fixed. If we institutionalized an ongoing dialogue between Christian and Islamic theologies, we would be able to focus more on common things and facilitate understanding. Prof. Johannes Schnocks and Prof. Mouhanad Khorchide, in their TEDxMรผnster talk, present the first interreligious campus in Europe, currently being built by the University of Mรผnster, which is meant to do exactly that: bring students and researchers of different theological faculties together and get the conversation going. Food is arguably the best thing about being alive. No other bodily pleasure is enjoyed multiple times every day and never gets old. It is an expression of culture, our parents' love and a means of celebration or comfort. That’s why it hits a special nerve when we are told we should change what and how we eat to fight rapid climate change. One of the most delicious foods, meat, gets the worst press. It doesn’t help that the topic is really hard to properly research yourself and debates get emotional quickly. But clearly science can give us an answer!

Did angels help over 100 children survive the Cokeville Elementary School Explosion?
A deranged couple, David and Doris Young, decided to take a huge group of over 100 students and 17 teachers hostage with an improvised bomb. They demanded a ransom of $2 million for each student.
However, Doris accidentally activated the bomb by raising her hand while the detonation mechanism was attached to her wrist. The chaos from the resulting blast, which injured Doris, gave the civilians a chance to flee.
As his hostage plan fell apart, David shot Doris and then was found dead of a self-inflicted wound in the bathroom. Every single teacher and student survived, though some of the kids and teachers suffered injuries from the blast and smoke inhalation.
Multiple students allegedly reported sightings of angels lingering over the building, giving them the guidance and protection to survive.

So, are we in a similar situation to what they're saying in "Red Planet?" Are we looking to terraform Mars because we've ruined Earth? Senior Program Director in Space Production at the International Space Station, US National Laboratory, Dr. Ken Zaven thinks we're in a serious situation.
We're starting to understand that we are changing our environment, changing the climate of this planet. And the extent to which, for example, plastics are a challenge for life on this world, is extremely serious. The reality is, we're not fully addressing it, so in that way, the movie is making a statement.
If we continue to head down the path that we're heading in, we're going to start to see significant changes to the way we have to live our lives because of what we've done to this planet. Now, are we going to try to go terraform another world? If Mars is the solution, then we've got real issues, because you're better off just trying to go to Antarctica and make a life for yourself year round out there, because it's probably warmer there.
At least you can breathe the air right, whereas you go to Mars, a minus 70 degree night is not unusual. And, there's no oxygen outright to be breathing and the atmosphere is much lower than ours. Mars is a desolate, frozen desert, so we don't see that as being a solution. But, as we get into talking about the movie, they had to take some artistic leaps to allow for something to be reasonable.

On average, we’re covered in about 5 million hair follicles. That’s around the same number as other non-human primates, ours just isn’t as visible because most of it is the short, soft ‘peach fuzz’ called ‘vellus hair’. Our fuzz has a job: it helps us regulate our temperature by helping our sweat evaporate.
When we’re cold, miniscule muscles in our skin contract around those hairs and make them stand on end—that’s what goosebumps are! Now, the longer, coarser, more distinctive hair on our head, face, legs, and groin is ‘terminal hair’. Terminal hair is what we tend to be more preoccupied with. It’s found in specific places for a reason. Your eyelashes and eyebrows keep sweat and debris out of your eyes (with the added bonus of helping us express ourselves and recognize each other).
Terminal hair on the head, legs, chest, and other large surfaces also regulates our temperature, and may protect our skin from UV damage and prickly, pokey stuff in our environment. But these are just our best guesses for WHY we have body hair in the places we do.. For evolutionary biology, body hair is actually still something of an enigma.

NASA astronauts Kayla Barron and Thomas Marshburn will venture outside the International Space Station on Nov. 30 to replace a faulty antenna system.The antenna recently lost its capacity to send low-rate voice communications and data to mission control flight controllers, albeit this had only a minor impact on operations. The two astronauts will swap it out for a spare.
The spacewalkers are expected to turn their spacesuits on to battery power around 7:10 a.m. EST for a 6.5-hour expedition. Marshburn will be extravehicular crew member 1 (EV 1), wearing a red striped spacesuit, while Barron will be extravehicular crew member 2 (EV 2), wearing a spacesuit without stripes. Matthias Maurer, an astronaut with the European Space Agency, will provide assistance from inside the orbiting laboratory by manoeuvring the Canadarm2 robotic arm that will transport Marshburn. This will be Marshburn's fifth spacewalk, and Barron's first.

opinion: aliens don't need to be super complex to be an advanced civilization.
i believe that even unicellular aliens could form an advanced civilization. this is because on earth, there is one creature that is just a colony of unicellular creatures, yet they are hyper intelligent. i'm talking about the slime mould. the slime mould is just a prokaryotic organism but it has a very high level of sapience. it can solve equations, control probes, solve mazes, and even play the piano (with electrodes of course)! and if something that simple can evolve to be so intelligent, then life on other worlds could be forming civilizations of their own.

Possibly my first UFO sighting
My husband and I were getting ready for bed and he noticed out the window that there was some object in the sky with 3 orange lights. We started looking out at it and could easily tell that it was not moving, just hovering there but made no sound like other aircraft that commonly go over our home. Then it began to slowly move diagonally and then began to pick up speed and fly over our home. There was one blinking light but 3 constant orange lights the entire time. I've never seen anything like it and the way it moved was bizarre. Any thoughts on this or similar experiences?? Location is Oceanside, California near to the marine corps base so possibly a military aircraft? But again, we've lived here awhile and have never seen anything like this.

I can prove aliens DONT exist
So earth has been around for 4.5 BILLION years but aliens are still traveling through the universe just to hover around in our skies? Have they not learned anything about earth over the past 4.5 billions years or just conveniently arriving for the first time? There’s never been a crashed craft that has been found by anyone even tho there’s 8 billion people on the planet and people are digging and searching for things everyday. Also ever depiction or photo or video of a UFO are all different in every aspect for the most part, so are they showing up in 100s of different style crafts? It’s not that government wants you to find out about alien life and technology, it’s they don’t want you to find out about their technology and implying the government recovered alien technology is to admit the technology exist. The ONLY reason an alien life form (if they exist) would risk deep interstellar travel for extraterrestrial worlds would be to benefit in someway (resources, habitat, to conquer and acquire) yet after 4.5 billion years all they do when they get here is hover in a our skies?

Some have their eyes fixed on the world and the bread it offers them but others the Kingdom of God and the bread their Father provides His children. What do you seek first? How have you set your priorities?
The Greek word translated as "daily" is epiousios and is only found in the Lord's prayer and nowhere else in antiquity. It is no secret that it simply does not mean "daily." It refers to one's sustenance, substance, subsistence for their livelihood. The children of God have died to the world and the old man to live a new life, new creations. God is Spirit and His Spirit begets spirit. His children are spiritual ones who walk by His Spirit, and as such, they are partakers of the divine nature, their Father's Holy Spirit. Spiritual children require spiritual food, the Bread of God, the Bread of Life, that is, doing the will of God, obeying His word of truth, which word we receive in the Spirit of God just as the prophets of old received the word of God when the Spirit came upon them. To know the perfect will of God we must surrender up ourselves as living sacrifices to Him to do whatever He wants with us. He is a loving Father and knows how to raise children who will sit with His firstborn son on his throne just as Jesus sat down with Him on His throne.
Encounter
So I wanted to get this off my chest, I’ve had an encounter super close encounter…it wasn’t long and pretty quick matter of fact idk if this was a ufo but when I tell you how this looked you would think it is..I woke up at 3 am in the morning which was very creepy in itself and I was drowsy very drowsy when I could hardly stand up I had a pillow for some reason on my face and I took it off as soon as I gained full consciousness and there I saw it red, green lasers just shooting through my window multiple lasers not just one two or three but I’m talking like 20 or 30 shooting through my window…at first I thought nothing of it but when I got up and started walking towards the window the lasers started going up and down as if it was scanning something it freaked the shit out of me and I immediately ran back to bed and hid under my covers…I know this might sound like a reach but there’s no way in hell you could explain rationally what I saw it couldn’t have been a drone or plane or helicopter because the amount of these beams scanning through my room through the window was unbelievable I really freaked the fuck out I tried telling my friends about this but they called me crazy.

ALIEN INCONSISTENCY: Why aren’t crop circles a thing anymore, also with a camera on every corner in the world and in every pocket, why is it always some grainy flip phone quality video? Can no one catch a craft in 4K?
I mean seriously we have high def pics of the surface of other plants but can’t seem to ever get still clear video of a solid craft. And where did all the crop circles go? They were huge in the 90s.

Prathamesh Jaju is an amateur Astronomer and Astrophotographer from Pune, India. He has been in field of Astronomy for 5 years and Astrophotography for 3 years. He has been taking photos of the night sky and the celestial objects for the past few years and he tries his best to enhance his processing skills and learn new techniques to make the images look better. He gained recognition for his work in Astrophotography for his Last Quarter Mineral Moon image which was his clearest picture of the Moon. He is a 16-year-old amateur astro- photographer from Pune has
captured over 50,000 images of the moon and ultimately
pieced them together to create a detailed image of the earth's
only natural satellite. Using huge magnifications, Jaju captured
multiple videos of the moon, in which small craters were also
captured. The image is so clear that one could zoom in as
much as he wants without losing the details. The image created
by Jaju also holds scientific value, as different colours seen in
