Why do people in Academia Deny the Existence of Aliens? A probable answer to the age old question

A question that often circulates communities crossing the minds of believers is why deny or cover up the potential for aliens to existence. One of the popular answers is to prevent a mass panic or there is obviously collusion. While the latter holds somewhat true, both are absurd explanations when readily more human answers are available.

Deductive Reasoning Vs Baconian Science

Sir Francis Bacon the pioneer of the scientific method did so by making a simple proposition. Until the time science largely followed Aristotle’s methodology being deductive reasoning based. Or this is true because we say it’s true and all investigations move from that truth. Bacon stated that science should be inductive based or I see this thus it must have some basis in reality even if current thought says otherwise.

From his revisions to science it blossomed and we started unraveling the very secrets of the cosmos and ourselves, but slowly over time science returned back to a Deductive based ideology. Till philosopher Fredrick Nietzsche called it a new age religion and properly scorned it in his writings as being no better than the Christians whose place they sought to take.

What we have today are scientists who spend 6 months trying to convince themselves a star isn’t dimming. We have scientists concocting the most absurd excuses to avoid having to reexamine their underlying understanding of the universe. Dark Matter, Dark Energy, and String Theory all exist not from some observable phenomena but as theorized concepts to get around the holes in the original theories. Once popular they’re fading from the modern concept. When Quantum Mathematics refuted the old theory Dark Matter and Dark Energy theories were no longer needed to explain away the issues in the models, so it became “they exist but we don’t know what they do.” Since now we are missing none of the universe.

What this means for the UFO phenomena is that if we accept UFOs are real we have to accept that: the laws of physics do not function anywhere near how we think they do, matter can travel faster than light, biological life can evolve in different ways and has done so in conditions completely alien to that of Earth (this would throw the fields of biology into turmoil), and the further we go down the rabbit hole the more we have to rethink.

To the average person this is not big deal. Newton’s Laws of motion or Atomic models don’t impact our day to day life. We don’t base our intellectual self worth on having memories these models, so if we suddenly said “okay none of this is right,” it would be irrelevant to our day to day existence or exciting to those intellectually curious.

Today we have scientists openly admitting to spending 6 months trying to convince themselves that a star isn’t dimming because it would refute our entire model of solar life cycles, formations, and behaviors. Whereas Baconian era scientists would jump in elation and rush for funding to be the one to have their name on the new theory that would replace the old, today’s science oft devolves into escapist

Market Value

Everything has a market value and this value determines if it has applications beyond subsistence. Labor is valued on how much value it produces per hour or what returns can be produced on it. This is a very simple point of life and it hold true in intellectual establishments and circles. For those that state aliens are real and adherents and proponents to the old models their value is based entirely around these remaining in demand.

Now it isn’t conscious for many of them but if suddenly we determined aliens were real, faster than light technology is not only possible, but we’re far behind in that game, just to name a few of the previously mentioned turn abouts that would arise, then overnight these people are worthless. Society doesn’t need people who can’t produce answers, and hearing “no this can’t be real,” positions would be a waste of money.

Academics would need to hire professors fluent in the new school of thoughts and discoveries to stay relevant. Who would go to school to learn anything in engineering or science when the school still teaches outdated concepts. It would be like going to a school whose program is decades out of date today. The degree you earn would be worthless.

Imagine how many of these people would continue holding a job if we made contract with aliens? Who would you want designing your building or power grid? A human or an alien who understands advanced material design? What of governance? Who would you want to rule over you, politicians who buy votes and take bribes or an advance civilization who very well maybe exactly the same but will increase your quality of life?

Their reputation is invested in denial

Reputations are important whether one likes the idea of having to maintain social proof or not no one can deny it will have an impact on your life. Now does anyone remember the scientists who would go onto the news, tv specials, and documentaries and say there is no water on Mars? How it was impossible for there to be water on Mars and there hasn’t been water on Mars for millions of years despite the mounting photographic evidence to the contrary. Once NASA came forward and said that there was water on Mars do you hear from these people anymore? No as they were cast into irrelevance.

People in intellectual pursuits have two reputations to maintain. The one amongst their peers that forbids them from even considering the potentiality of alien life let along that they might be here on Earth already. A feat that isn’t that marvelous when one considers we are looking for planets that might have life and any space fairing civilization would have centuries more advanced telescopes (if they still used that technology) optics, scanners, etc. If their civilizations are anything like ours they likely have posters of the cosmos showing which planets have life and how advanced it potentially could be. Not that impressive now is it that they might visit Earth.

Their second reputation is toward public utility. Like those that espoused no water on Mars those that espouse no Aliens period are in a position where if the alternative is proved they’re out of a job. Imagine going from being so renowned that you do TV interviews, you are called up to comment in documentaries, then all of a sudden over night you would be lucky to retain your base job. If you are called up it would be the one to be ridiculed for being out of date. If you switch your beliefs you’ll always be second rate compared to the pioneers in the field.

Social pressure keeps them stuck in an ideological paradigm, social pressure will be what destroys their careers if that paradigm ever falls.

The long version of all this is that those that are against the idea of aliens have a very vested interest in maintaining that status quo. It isn’t out of malevolence that they act the way they do, but often simple ideological blindness and a primordial sub conscious fear of the alternative.

US company builds a 3D printer that can print a house in less than 24h for $4000

A company ICON is working on a project for a New Story Charity with a goal to build a 3D printer specifically for poor communities around the world. They plan to bring the printer to El Salvador later this year and build its first community of 3D printed homes.

The first version of the printer can build a house in less than 24 hours for about $4000. They aim to further speed up the process and cut down the price to $1000.

Main limitations at the moment are the utilities which need to be placed on the outside wall. Also there is lack of data on how their concrete mix is going to behave over time.

Personally, I would like to see more emphasis on using renewable sources of energy to power the house and amenities related to water and food that would make the home self-sufficient.

Maybe this is why we have been unable to contact alien life

Some scientists say that other life doesn’t exist simply because we have been trying for a couple decades to contact it. But maybe, some of the other life that is contactable, is still living in primitivism. Meaning they lack the technology to contact other life. This would be totally normal considering humans lived with behavioural modernity for tens of thousands of years without any highly advanced technology and electricity. Maybe there is a planet out there with human-like life, or maybe some weird alien looking species. But they aren’t intelligent enough yet to try and contact other life. Which would be totally normal because it took so long for human life to become this advanced. The first known species of humans dated back 200 thousand years ago. When man arose from Africa. I am not saying that highly technologically advanced civilizations do not exist, like what someone said below, maybe we are just using obsolete methods of communication with these aliens.

Dr. Steven Greer vs. Tom DeLonge

I have been doing a lot of research and been watching many videos from both Dr. Steven Greer and Tom DeLonge's To The Stars Academy, particularly when it comes to the Atacama Humanoid (or Fetus) subject.

To sum it up:

Tom DeLonge and the To The Stars Academy (TTSA) agree with the final genetic analysis in Stanford. Tom DeLonge has been proven to be connected to CIA officials and other high ranking military officials familiar with the UFO subject (thanks to WikiLeaks). https://coi.tothestarsacademy.com/atacama-skeleton/

Dr. Steven Greer is basically accusing the intelligence community of manipulating the Stanford Researchers and the mainstream media into falsely claiming that the Atacama humanoid was indeed a female fetus that died at birth. He also believes that Tom DeLonge is just a patsy for the intelligence community, and that he is being manipulated into using his celebrity status to spread disinformation. https://youtu.be/MMpnfIEXsL4

Both DeLonge and Greer have legitimate sources in the intelligence community and military. So something is not adding up here. Greer is all about spreading the message that these aliens are benevolent, and that there are false flag abductions in order to spread fear about ETs. He thinks this will lead to World War 3 in a battle of humanity versus ETs, due to humanities hostility. At the same time, DeLonge is just an aging rockstar, so why the hell are all these legitimate intelligence officials sharing top secret information with him? He could very well be being manipulated.

Building a Crystal Ball of the World, Unseating Capitalism and Creating a New World Order with Prof Dirk Helbing

Prof. Dirk Helbing (@dirkhelbing) is Chair of Sociology, in particular of Modeling and Simulation, in ETH Zurich, and the Scientific Coordinator of the FuturICT Flagship Proposal. He is also the Principal Investigator on FutureICT Knowledge Accelerator and Crisis Relief System, a big data computing system, conceived as sort of a crystal ball of the world.

The core of the system is the Living Earth Simulator, a computing machine attempting “to model global-scale systems — economies, governments, cultural trends, epidemics, agriculture, technological developments, and more — using torrential data streams, sophisticated algorithms, and as much hardware as it takes”. The project currently competing for funding from the European Commission of € 1 billion.

He is known for the social force model, in particular its application to self-organising phenomena in pedestrian crowds. Besides the slower-is-faster effect, he introduced the freezing-by-heating effect and the phase diagram of congested traffic states. Helbing also proposed a microscopic foundation of evolutionary game theory and has studied self-organized behavioral conventions. Recent work applies principles of collective intelligence and self-organized control to the optimization of urban and freeway traffic. His current research activities focus on norms and conflict, the role of success-driven motion for the establishment of cooperation among selfish individuals, the science of science, socio-inspired technology and techno-social systems, disaster spreading and crisis management.

mind-connection to stuff you control

i feel like there is a mind connection and depending how your brain works say you play a game the game will react differently due to the chemistry of your brain. Thats why I believe some people are more lucky than others due to their strong mind-connection. They get more rare stuff in games becuase of their brain chemistry. I think it has to do with chemistry and the brain how strong your mind aurora/vibration/frequency whatever is but that is impossible to know.

What is the point of hiding the truth about aliens from the general public?

I was curious as to what your guys opinion was regarding the reasoning behind keeping the public in the dark regarding Aliens and their visitations.

I dont think that the public would break down in complete chaos after finding out the existence of other intelligent life, even if it meant we knew they have been coming here as well.

I think it boils down to something along the lines of, we know they are coming here, we know that they have been doing it for a long time now, we know that abductions do occur, but we are unable to do anything about it after several attempts to do so.

I think this leads to chaos. Knowing that other life is out there is great and all, but knowing that other life exists and they have been watching us for thousands of years, and we dont have a reason for their watching, or the ability to stop them is far more eerie then just knowing life exists light years away.

What are your thoughts on the topic?

Moon is a satellite?

I saw a show on the history channel talking about how the moon rings like a bell when stuff was dropped onto it (from the Apollo missions). We never see the dark side of the Moon (probable alien base for the extremers) and how the odds that the moon is 1/400th the size of the sun and the sun is 400 times farther from earth allowing perfect eclipses is astronomical (haha). Anyone else have some cool stories/therories on the moon?

Future of Space Shuttle Endeavour

Hey all, I assume this is the best place to discuss this. I was watching some videos about Endeavour recently and I’ve even been out to LA to see it, but has there been any update from California Science Center on the new air and space center? All I can find online is that the date has been pushed back and they have had a little trouble getting funding but aside from that, there have been no updates about Samuel Oschin Air and Space and Endeavour’s mating to the SRBs and Main Fuel Tank. I think it’s important to recognize that it’s been 7 YEARS since STS -134 and Endeavour is still not in her permanent display. She’s been on temporary display this entire time. It’s better that it’s somewhere safe then not at all, but is there any update on the progress? I know they’ve opened her up in the past few years and even removed some tanks for the ISS but when will it simply be over and completely done with?

If you guys know anything I’d love to hear about what’s been up recently at the California Science Center. Thanks.

I can think of a couple of movies that could be viewed as having stories that go along the lines of the Ancient Aliens story:

• Planet of the Apes - Space Men Arrive on a planet ruled by primitive primates.
• Blade Runner - Created humanoid replican slaves are hunted down by their human masters.

Also, we probably need the girl who wants to be the center of attention and go to all of the raids but is really terrible but never shuts up in discord but forces everyone to adjust so that she can get carried.

... I don't think we need class officers or someone to review the parse data and logs every day and grill people who aren't min-maxing so we should be good there.

Anyways, that should spice things up a bit. I'll check in to see how things look whenever I'm done leveling an alt or watching an anime on crunchyroll or whatever because my wife doesn't want me to spend my time on reddit when I get home from work.

If you can't relate, then don't bother applying. I'd like to say bachelor's degree and full time jobs. Imagine its the guild Ains Ooal Gown and my mods should all have Dragon Blood and a life. Students should be studying and trying to go out with the Student Council President, not dicking around on reddit, so consider yourselves cut.

To those who believe world governments actively hide knowledge of alien contact and UFO's...

Do you ever find it overwhelmingly frustrating that a small fraction of the world's population who are no more human than anyone, get to decide that the rest of us can't handle the truth? For my short human lifetime, I would like to know these things. If there is something that would change an individual's whole outlook on their existence and the future of their species, do you not think that they deserve to know about it, regardless of what change that may or may not bring about?

In the end, until it is openly announced that alien contact has and continues to happen within the world's governments, we cannot be sure of anything. Therefore, my question is the following: Assuming it hasn't already taken place, if the world's governments make alien contact at some point, what would make "holding together" the world's paradigms, cultures, religions, etc., a valid enough reason for the elite few to decide that the rest of their own species don't deserve to know about it?

So, about a year ago, my brother and I were driving to swim practice at 4am. He's driving his Jeep without the top, so we have a perfectly clear view of the night sky (aka no windows or reflections from glass). It was mostly overcast, but we could see the moon and some patches of clear sky. We're driving along, and my brother looks up and stops the Jeep, and pulls over to the side of the road and points upward, like, "Holy sh*t look." We look up and we see this set of four lights in the sky (pictured above)--the first time, we just saw four green/blue lights in that square pattern. We both scrambled for our phones, and as we were doing so, another car passed. As the car was passing, the lights faded. Long after the car had passed us, the lights came back in the same position. Soon after, a second set of overlapping lights--exactly like the first--appeared as well. We were both lucky enough to get pictures, so I've posted them here. Soon after we took the pictures, the lights all faded out. I spent the rest of the drive (and the swim practice, which was outside) looking up at the sky to try and see it again.

My idea is that it's a spacecraft or headlights of some kind. I'd like to know what others think. On that note, I don't know anything about interesting weather/cloud patterns or much at all surrounding misidentifications in the "extraterrestrial search" community, so if it happens to be something like "oh yeah thats *cool weather thing*, please let me know. I am confident that it wasn't spotlights shining into the sky, and i'm pretty sure it wasn't a helicopter either because they were big and didn't drift across the sky.

Have talked with David Childress about an ancient aliens school/university. Where young minds can have a supportive environment without ridicule. IS THIS AN ALIEN ON THE MOON?!!!

Hi people,

So I think I may have taken a picture of an alien wraith or something on the moon. It was from an old compilation of footage of space and the moon and the earth from an educational program called "Space Night." This part of the video was on YouTube. I don't know if it is CGI or computer graphics or a glitch but I was watching this part and saw a weird shadow cross the moon so I went back and played it in the slowest possible speed. I paused it just as the shadow passed over the moon. What I saw next scared the living daylight out of me! It was there for about a second and then vanished. I will let you decide for yourself what it is. Once again I would like to specify that this could easily be video effects, computer graphics, CGI or a glitch. But it looks like the shadow of a wraith of some kind floating on the moon. I can't see any wraith in the image but the shadow is clearly visible. Really strange indeed. But enough rambling and here is the picture:

Square object in my brain - MRI pictures

8 years ago I was at the doctor for dizziness, because of this, I took MRI of my head. When I got the pictures I saw something square of 4.1 mm x 4.1mm in the middle of my head between my right and left part of brain (see 4 pics). The doctor could not answer what this could be, but he said the object is harder and has a greater density than bone and calcification, and it is not a natural "thing" or form of an object placed there. I have asked another doctor and he said the same, he also never seen this before. I asked why I could not find it on other picture than picture on the right, he said that there was too few pictures in the collection in the MRI, if there had been more pictures I would see it. Then he joked about abduction. I cannot say if I have ever been abducted, I dont think so, cant remember anything.

In May I took new pictures of my head, and the object is still there, same size, prooving it is not calcification or tumor. But this time you can see it on 2 pictures. I have put arrows on dates and object.

I know this is a long shot, but have anyone seen anything like this before? I dont know who to ask?

I'm not a person looking for attention or publicity :)

Anyone think about being the one to make alien contact first?

Okay unfortunately I couldn't smash a ton of information into the title and so it's kind of missing a lot of context. Let's bypass some of the obvious arguments, such as (there has already been a first contact, Aliens created us, etc.) The context is hypothetical: Contact has yet to have been made but looking at the state of our planet and the nature of human beings, you're worried about the possibilities and feel like you should be the one to first make contact. Also, for extreme convenience you are able to communicate with this alien, they are able to interpret and mimic speech.

Anyone thought about it before? I've thought about it a lot. When introducing your species to another aliens, you had better be one fucking savvy cookie. The safest assumption would be to assume that they are vastly superior to us, likely in more ways we could even comprehend. At least, that would be the safest precaution to make. In a conflict against a true unknown, hostility or aggression is unthinkable. On an intellectual level, again they are likely on an entirely different level. Their technology will assuredly be leaps and bounds beyond our imagination, so in their eyes our intelligence is likely insectual (that is a word now). However, luckily we are spiritual beings so that gives us skin in the game. Where we lack in perception and intelligence we have intuition. Which brings me to my next bit. I'd speak about our sun, the evolution of cells on earth, animals, eventually get to humans. I'd speak on our past, the things mankind has done to itself and the earth. Tie it back in with human physiology and psychology, how our brains function, the ego. Finally on the spectrum of human conscious, from the sleepers to the awakened. After providing an informative evaluation, assuming they don't know everything already, and under the assumption I've sold myself as a neutral individual I would ask about the things outside the reach of human beings. I mean a fucking lot of questions. After having a better understand of the bigger picture at large I would offer advice as to how best deal with our species. In explaining how primitive men are even still, any sharing of technology could be and likely would be disastrous. So don't do that, yeah in fact give us nothing please. We will turn it either into a profit or a weapon. The next part I think some of you guys would like. I would ask if there are any other species similar to or relative to humans. If there was I would try to develop a means for finding out what those other civilizations were like and under the pretense there was a legitimate alternative for humankind I would try to arrange some sort of migration. I know, I'm a fucking greedy ass human and am trying to do TOO MUCH. But who wouldn't mind getting the fuck off this egotistical ridden shithole realm of indulgences and torture, pleasure and pain. Let the vain beasts fight amongst themselves for eternity or until self destruction, I however shall take my place in the realm of intellectual sophistication. Spend the rest of my days purifying myself via meditation, die, reincarnate in NEW LOCAL SPACE DOMAIN. Respawn complete, new server. Sometimes serious, sometimes making dumb jokes but still I'm curious if anyone else has entertained this thought before in there own way. Okay you don't have to read any more.

Stranger Than Fiction

As humans, our collective image of an alien being has changed throughout the generations of thinkers, writers, and artists. I am currently compiling a book tracking eyewitness accounts throught time, I have had the unique opportunity to speak with many ex-government officials thanks to connections I have through family members. The higher amount of testimonies from people around the world, the clearer the image becomes of what is truly out there. I'll share more information once my work has come together a bit more, but for now I wanted to speak a bit about how the human idea of alien beings in fiction has shifted over time.

When the idea that Earth is one of many billions of planets in our galaxy became cemented in the public consciousness, people began to wonder what other beings could be like, what they looked, acted, and lived like. We cannot travel far beyond our own planet, but our minds have almost limitless potential. Curiously, our near-limitless minds have gravitated towards a few specific images of alien life...

Classically, alien beings have been visualized fairly consistently - short, large bulbous heads, large dark eyes, pale, and thin being some common themes. "Little Green Men" and "Gray Aliens" being the most well-known examples, although there were other similar concepts in this time such as "The Orange". Rumors of these strange creatures traveling to earth and interfering (or influencing) with our politics ran rampant, as well as reports of abductions and experimentations on humans. Technological superiority is another common theme with this "archetype" of alien. Stories of invasion became popular around this time as well.

As time went on, fiction in television, film, and comics became much more prevalent. "Aliens", to us, became much more humanlike, looking very much like we do, with variations in skin color, eye color, hair color, height, ear/nose shape, etc. The general consensus for this change was that it became easier for actors to portray alien characters on-screen. Alien characters in Star Wars, Star Trek and the like were (generally) humaniod, much more humanoid than previously portrayed. Media like Marvel and DC comics portrayed aliens very similarly. Other human traits were passed on to these aliens as well, like societies, economies, religions, histories, etc. Our idea of aliens started becoming more relatable. This idea later became viewed as "stale" or less interesting than the more mysterious ideas of aliens we had in the past. Scientists began predicting alien life being completely different than anything seen on earth, and the psychology of such beings as completely different and unrelatable to human minds.

Later on, the popularization of video games allowed writers and artists to slowly shift away from humanesque aliens. Series like Half Life and Halo painted aliens in a new light, becoming much less humanlike the further the boundries were pushed. Later series like Mass Effect, Dead Space, Destiny, and so on begin to show us more scientifically plausible aliens with their own complexities and characters. Aliens in film became more and more prevelant, showing us increasingly wild designs. This is the era we are in currently.

The important thing to understand is that our fiction isn't simple "cash grabs" by artists trying to make money, our fiction is modern mythology. Sure, stories can be mass-produced, but the ones that do well, do well for a reason. People respond to the things that resonate with them, the more popular the piece of fiction, the more people it must resonate with.

Fiction aside, firsthand encounters and psychedelic experiences all over the world have people returning with vivid, often consistent descriptions of aliens and what they are truly like.

A principle among biology exists called "convergent evolution". Essentially, very different creatures in similar conditions can evolve into almost identical forms. Look into this if you are interested, for example, wolves and tasmanian wolves have developed into a shockingly similar form despite not being related. They even behave in the same way. (The tasmanian wolf is extinct now, but that is just ine example of many). The biological structure of an eye has developed many times in unrelated organisms over the course of Earth's history. Our planet developed life almost as soon as it's wet, temperate climate settled in.

Now this is the part that may sound crazy, but bear with me - after reviewing countless eyewitness acounts, many "psychonaut" psychedelic users, and unnamed government whistleblowers, it appears as if there are hundreds of thousands of worlds similar to our own populated with people similar to us. These "people" generally don't look PRECISELY like us, but damn close. It appears that some populations are much older and so look more similar to "classical aliens", whereas some are younger and have not yet reached a technological stage at all, with very very few of these species having access to interstellar travel.

I've come to this conclusion based on past and present eyewitness reports, as well as information I cannot currently go into detail about. Like I said, when I can organize the data more and reliably protect the people I have spoken to, I can go into more detail. I know that the idea of panspermia is very popular right now, humans being "seeded" on earth by higher beings, and that would explain the excess of humanlike aliens in our galaxy, but it appears that it may very well be simple convergent evolution.

And so the existence of people is symptomatic of the kind of universe we live in. Just as spots on somebody's skin is symptomatic of chicken pox. Just as hair on a head is symptomatic of what's going on in the organism. We do not "come into" this world; we come out of it, as leaves from a tree. As the ocean "waves," the universe "peoples." Every individual is an expression of the whole realm of nature, a unique action of the total universe."
