Have I been abducted by aliens?

My whole life I always wanted to meet an alien. It was a concept that intrigued me so much that I would dedicate says to researching about it. Through this research I eventually found a new spiritual understanding of life and kind of abandoned the whole alien thing which was now replaced for my passion in spirituality. Recently at high school, I started feeling isolated from everyone. It was as if I was foreign to everything going on around me and everything seemed almost unfamiliar. Then I started having small panic attacks for no reason and my hands would start shaking while also getting that weird feeling of isolation and fear. Not too long after that, I was able to see people's aura and I saw strange orbs of light all the time. I then started hearing voices and I would get feelings of someone talking to me and sometimes I would talk to them back. I hear high pitched frequencies as well and I will see people in the corner of my eye but are not really there all the time. I can sense other people's emotions even from far away and I can also sense spirits or other people around me when no one is there. Recently I was looking at my phone at 11 at night and then there was a time gap in my memory and the next thing I know it was 2 in the morning. That night I had a very weird dream of being observed on a table by strange orange looking creatures. This has happened frequently and the most recent one was when I awoke suddenly to the sound of a foreign beeping noise coming from within my head. I'm not all that worried, in fact I have never been happier in my life than I ever have been before. I just want answers to why this might be happening to me. And also, my parents just assume it's normal for teens to go through things like this but I don't feel all to sure they understand what I'm going through.

Alien implants

There are numerous stories of people having foreign objects removed from their bodies that were put there by aliens. If these are Allen implants like some of them claim then why do we not have good info on them? I watched a video yesterday and a guy had 3 different "implants" from patients he'd worked with but he refused to let the documentary crew have them analyzed. Hmmmm. Suspicious. I've watched several videos on implants. All of them I've seen look smaller than a grain of rice. And they don't look like anything technological. They look like debris or splinters.

I'm not convinced about these implant claims but I wanted to share my thoughts in hopes that some of you may have found other sources with better info. If these are implanted by aliens then these would be hard physical evidence of ET visitation. It seems very fishy that there hasn't been much research into these. Which leads me to believe they're fake claims.

Dawn Spacecraft's Potential Third Target, which asteroids does dawn have fuel left to reach?

For those who don't know NASA's Dawn mission team has made an official proposal for an extended mission where the Dawn probe would visit a third asteroid. NASA hasn't stated yet which asteroid this third target is, but I assume we can narrow the list down significantly by looking at what asteroids Dawn could potentially reach. Out of its original budget of 425 kilograms of Xenon propellant for its ion engine, 275 kg was allocated to reaching Vesta and 110 kg for reaching Ceres, leaving some 40 kg of Xenon unallocated. More or less Xenon may be available, depending on how efficient the engine preformed and how much was expended due to unexpected problems (gimble, ect). I doubt DAWN would have enough propellant left to reach Hygeia, but there are other large asteroids in the vicinity of Ceres's orbit, most notably 93 Minerva. Would DAWN have enough Xenon left to reach Minerva? What other asteroids could potentially be a third target for DAWN?

Life, and technology.

If aliens were to look into an ancient sky and find a planet capable of forming life they could decide to steer away from intervening in the development of life. It would be pretty likely that such a candidate planet would be found much much earlier than the first signs of life, since we know that the reasons for life on Earth are very unique (size of the moon=stabilizes orbit, distance from sun, etc etc)

So if you were an alien species who was capable of space-travel, what would your intentions be?

One might find that alien species will designate protected systems much like humans create national parks. So imagine now that alien species come across a candidate system that is early in its development and is teeming with life. They allow things to run its course, and next thing you know you start noticing big changes. One of the organisms begins to dominate the planet and destroy the ecosystem. And for outside observer with different senses, humans may not considered as much as individuals as lets say ants in an anthill or cells in body. So this wouldn't be viewed as an issue of habits or the free will of people, but the systematic responses of large populations.

We like to think that we are these little unique creatures who aren't deterministic. But its very likely that this is the delusion of subjective experience, and that in reality we are no more than a mechanism inside a causal chain. (this happens> that happens > i do this because i learned that > result) A sufficiently intelligent extraterrestrial species could determine the fate of our species by determining the way we function and react to the preexisting conditions. If they were ever to deduce that humans by nature are inevitably going to destroy this planet rather than transcend it and protect it, they would choose to limit/direct our growth.

That's your premise for a good apocalyptic scenario (aliens invade earth, war against humans). But why would a sufficiently intelligent species waste its resources trying to eradicate a species, when there are much more intelligent/moral/viable solutions. If you could someone how direct the course of human development, you would get them to control themselves by developing the technology to do so.

So, I wonder. Have humans already made contact, but we are too oblivious to see it in any meaningful way due to the innate limitations of human brain? Could they intervene not by force, but by introducing technology that would entrap humans into accepting a more humble and sustainable fate?

We might be already at war

Some speculate about what we need to look for and what to expect when they think about aliens. Some say that others are wrong and they they're right.

I don't think there is a right answer until the truth surfaces. But the problem is we're below the surface and we don't know how deep. Metaphorically, if someone reaches the surface, they can barely comprehend what they saw. This is why there are innumerable theories and different observations, which are all equally plausible.

I am among one of those who has observed some startling things. Not fully convinced but I don't think it'll ever come to that. See, what's out there is only a guess.

Wether they are greys, reptilians, extra dimensional, androids, machines, AI, hybrids crosspecies of any of these, there is no reason to assume they have any morality what so ever.

Human nature is to question and analyze, and wanting to know the differences so that we can overcome them. So that we can learn how to coexist. Even xenophobia belongs to that mechanism. This goes for inter human relations, as for inter species and even interplanetary or heck, inter dimensional beings.

So to answer how can we find aliens? We must know that we need to be a beacon. They're out there, most likely interested in making contact, maybe waiting to reach new found life. But they're not on the level we are and can't possibly get on our level, not as equals.

If we want to understand what to look for when looking for aliens, we need to make our own presence known. If we have already been found, and some aliens who we have been of interest to have also reached us already (there might be a huge amount of time between detection and reaching that destination, perhaps they're still on the way for the next million years), depending on how long it's been going on, it doesn't look very good. I don't think I'm very happy about their presence. If they benefit from contact, there is no way that at that level of evolution, at their level of existence, they care about our primitive values.

Don't get me wrong, I think highly of cultured humanity. But if you have the tools to survive in space and travel unholy distances, I'm convinced that you're methods of prolinging your life expectency aren't restricted to any specific platform. Maybe our life has no intrinsic value to the aliens whatever they be and we're a resource of organic material.

See, the equation with war here is that this idea brings forth that we have something to defend. That if we can't make some one or some thing care about our intrinsic values, they need to leave us alone. It reminds me of any period of human oppression, where the people are extensions of a regime until they fight the power and replace it with one that recognizes them as individuals.

This is the war I'm trying to convey. Maybe this is the kind of ordeal that our species is in at the moment. Like we're planet KFC and our governments are taking orders of intergalactic visitors.

It is a sheer utopia to think that aliens are interested in becoming equals or friends or have any other relatable social interaction, be it friend or foe.

I think that this could be to some extent the current situation and that there might not be anyone on this planet (any human) who can disprove it. That doesn't mean it is true, it isn't veriable (for anyone I can imagine), but if there is a truth in the whole aliens ordeal (and statistics aren't on the side of the skeptics IMO) it needs to be told. To me the question isn't IF, but HOW is the current situation for us and will the truth emerge soon.

Is there a name for the manned mission to mars that is being researched?

I am doing a project for my astronomy class and I want to do it on the mission to mars, but my teacher will only allow us to research programs with established names, i.e. Apollo, ISS, Hubble telescope, etc. I've read that Orion and the SLS are going to be used in the mission, but is there an overall name for that mission that I can use, or anything i can title it to legitimize it in my teacher's view?

They are a vast majority and they are stubborn. They associate Walmart people and hillbillies with this subject. This is all an immature joke to them. They won't change their minds just because someone in office tells them to. Nobody trusts the government to begin with, so what good is their word? And look at the Phoenix Lights incident ; a huge vessel slowly moving across an entire city, with thousands of witnesses. And yet still nothing. Even the mayor turned the incident into a joke to save face, and laughed at the ufo hypothesis. People need their safety nets, so this subject will forever be ridiculed. A disclosure won't change that, in my opinion.

Extraterrestrial, or...?

Until a few years ago, I considered aliens - the Greys in particular - to be an extraterrestrial race; however, after having read accounts where they seemingly pass through solid objects and are apparently able to appear/disappear at will, I've come to suspect that they may be extradimensional instead. It would fit in with the multiple dimensions and universes often examined in String Theory. What do you think? Do you think they have unlocked the ability to travel between dimensions rather than on an interstellar level? Could it be a combination of the two?

What exactly is a civilian branch of government in the US?

Just watching a documentary and learned about the creation of NASA and how it was created as a civilian branch of government. How does that differ from other federal branches? Does it just mean that it is run by non-military personnel? From what I gathered, the US Army and US Navy had their own rocket programs and there was a rivalry developing which was why NASA was formed as a civilian agency but I guess I don't really understand what that means since there were obviously military people working for NASA.

There is currently an awakening among certain redditors who have been doing their own research and finally starting to understand everything on a much deeper level, the apex of all of this is alien life. Moderator applications and why I've decided to ban zeuph.

Hi everyone, I just saw the post here: http://ift.tt/22YlE5o and wanted to address it fully. Moderator application information is at the end of this post.

I will answer all of the points from that post at the end of this one, but in order to explain my side of things, let me show you the private messages that zeuph sent me in regards to the moderation of this subreddit. I normally wouldn't be airing dirty laundry or wanting to cause drama, but zeuph has presented me and my responses in a completely unjust way, and I feel that its necessary for me to show the entire conversation so that people can come to their own conclusions as to what has been said and done. I apologize that it's so long, but 95% of it is zeuph PMing me.

The following is the first message he sent me about a month ago:

"Dear omfgninja,

I come to you in a time of dire need, not of assistance. Rather, I would like to ask you something that's both frustrating and infuriating at the same time. I am a frequent viewer of a subreddit whereof you hold the highest seniority. Recently, this subreddit has had some downfall and people have been upset regarding the content and how the mods interact with the users. Unfortunately, I cannot do other than agree with them due to the fact both mine and others' messages have gone unanswered when messaging the moderators. Also due to the fact that there seem to be lack of engagement from the moderators part.

The subreddit I'm talking about is r/aliens and I've been an active user on a near to daily basis for one year and active in both exopolitics, ufos and aliens for soon 8 years. I contact you because I want change. I am sentimentally tied to that community and I've tried reaching out to other communities on the internet in hopes of finding similar qualities with moderation. I would gracefully like you ask for your co-operation in changing the subreddit to the better or your personal resignation. Previous attempts to rejuvenate the forum have been to no avail, the most recent moderator were active for a short time and then left, making a rule yet not upholding it. There are currently at least 2 or 3(quite new) posts that are breaking the rule gintoddic enforced.

I would like to suggest that you personally either wake up your moderators or hand over the ownership to someone capable(Not that you're not capable, but maybe being a moderator on over 50 subreddits takes its toll). Make some stickies and maybe flairs(which both we had at one time). Poll on what people want to see as content(You'd be surprised how different people vote from how different people comment) or establish a strict control over the content.

With that said I want to suggest a third option which is handing over the subreddit to me. It's not because I feel entitled to it, it's because I believe I can remove the negativity and create a good atmosphere everyone enjoys. I am very aware of the phenomena and have been involved for many years. I will enforce certain rules and try my best to sticky and flair where appropriate. I would also like to add that I'm active in this movement both politically and as a hobby for maybe 4-6 hours a day. That will continue. I am also active in other communities following the same or similar agenda. I am very sincere and believe I would do a good job. I will put down the time needed. I understand how difficult it may be but this is a very small community we're talking about. It's about 15000 subscribers, 20-40 visitors at one time seem to be regular. About 0-4 posts per day(depends a lot on the recent news). I would like to argue that since this is a small community with a extremely broad spectrum of content, some involvement is likely required to either understand or establish rules under certain circumstances. This is why that I personally beg of you to hand over all rights for the subreddit to someone capable as mentioned above. Since you're moderator on over 50 subreddits I have a hunch that you would most likely not hand over moderation just like that and all I can say is, please consider it and please understand that my passion for this stretches maybe as far as your involvement with Team Fortress 2(maybe not quite but more of an expression to show the massive amount of time I've spent following this movement). It's a small community and even they deserve the proper, volunteered, janitorial service other subreddit gets.

That's all I can say and have to say. Nothing is ill towards you and if I've offended you I apologise deeply. If you have any questions to me, feel free to ask. Feel free to go through my history in order to establish some sort of personality behind these words.

First let me say that I am busy person, and I really don't have a ton of free time for every request that comes my way. I did take the time to read the entire thing, but I chose not to ignore it. Firstly, I don't really see any reason why I should "Step down", there's no benefit, if anything, if he simply had just asked to be a moderator, I would have probably added him. Secondly, toward the end, he mentions the time that I have spent playing the game Team Fortress 2. It was kind of an offhand comment to try to guilt me into wanting to give over the subreddit, but in reality, I haven't spent hardly any time playing that game for a couple years now, and it was a disrespectful thing to say to someone whom you are asking a favor of. If you had kept your message short and had simply asked to be a moderator to clean things up and add to the discussion, it would have been no problem and I probably would have added you and I wouldn't be writing this right now.

After a month of no response, zeuph writes to me again and says:

"Please consider handing over the subreddit /r/aliens. It's a daily occurrence that a thread is formed because of the lack of moderations. Mods have left us time and time again and at most being active for a week max. Please let us moderate it ourselves and keep it clean of trolls and horrible content. The sub has too much sentimental value to me to just move on yet. I really hope you will see this and hand over the permissions to someone else. Regards Zeuph"

He's again asking to take over the subreddit. If he had simply asked to be a moderator, that would be no problem. So I responded with the following question:

"I'm not giving up ownership of the sub. Who else would you say should be moderating?"

Again, I don't have much time, but I figured I would respond to him this time. I didn't feel like he would be a good moderator, but I figured he could at least suggest someone so I could potentially add someone and get a moderator team going, and maybe add him later, but instead of responding to my question with a list of other people who might be good moderators, he said the following:

"Anyone invested. There are currently nobody looking after the sub. There's no answers to anyone's questions. There's no answer when contacting them directly. May I ask why you wouldn't consider giving up the ownership? Is it of value to you in any means?"

He didn't respond with someone who he thought might be a good fit for the community, instead he just further pressed the issue that I should step down, for whatever reason.

Anyway, my post will end abruptly because I need to leave but what I wanted to say is that if you're, just like me, invested in this field of study and forum then please ask the moderators or the most senior moderator to make something to change this. I want to see stickies, flairs and removal of posts. I want to see discussions and speculations from these individuals. Just to break down the message, piece by piece, you claim here:

I looked through my message box, and the previous messages you sent me were the only messages you sent me. Maybe you sent stuff to the mod mail, but you are making it sound like you've tried everything you could to get a change here, but instead the very first message you send me is a rambly wall of text about why you think you deserve to take over the subreddit. I can't really say that you got off on the right foot here.

I again don't understand why you feel like you need ownership of this subreddit. And its true that I asked whom you thought a good moderator would be, but I guess that wasn't the answer you wanted because you were only interested in being the only moderator yourself.

If I had no interest, I wouldn't have responded to your second message asking who I thought good moderators would be, and I wouldn't be typing this now. The main issue is here that I would have started adding people if he simply would have started talking to me about it and came up with a list of potential new moderators, but instead he decides to misrepresent me and try to create drama about me in the sub, sorry but this was the wrong choice.

For now, I've banned zeuph. If he would like to come back, he can write me an apology and PM it to me.

What sparked your interest in aliens, UFO's and extraterrestrial life?

Just as a general curiosity, what sparked your interest in this subject? Was it a siting, something you were taught or maybe just became interested by a movie and a hope that we are not alone in this vast universe?

My personal experience happened when I was 8, in the year 1999. I remember it like it was yesterday, simply because it made such a profound impact on me. Our family dog had a tumor that had ruptured and we needed to take her to the emergency vet. So I volunteered to go with my mom. Well, I liked to stick my head out of the car window with our dog on these types of drives and it just kind of became habit. She was laying in the back of our old Station wagon and I had my head out of the window, keep in mind it is night time and I want to add as a side note that we lived within 15 miles of a major airport. So I know what a low flying plane looks and sounds like. When we drive by a local play ground, I see a (relatively) slow moving plane about 200 meters above the tree line. It had no wings, large white windows and made absolutely no noise. Or maybe I just couldn't hear over the wind in my ears. It passed over our car and I soon lost sight of it. The whole event took place over 5 seconds. I was pretty scared, though I never knew why and never told my mom. I just came back into the car and sat silently the rest of the trip.

*On a sad side not, we had to put our family dog down about a week late :(

Is there any alien game which takes the topic in a more "realistic" approach?

I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit to ask if anyone knows any alien game, but here goes: What I mean in the title is that I want to know if you guys know any game that takes the idea in a more of a realistic approach. I'm talking about more stuff like abductions with actual greys, reptilians, saucers, triangles, etc. X-Com is similiar, but it doesn't use the "real-life material" if you know what I mean.

It's hard to explain exactly what I'm looking for, but hopefully you guys get an idea. Pretty much an alien game that uses real life material.

I won't be satisfied until we have physical evidence. Is that crazy?

I've debated with people on here who are convinced of their beliefs. And a lot of those beliefs are pretty far out there. Stuff like lizard people with underground cities, a Stargate that takes you to mars, the earth is flat, space Nazis, etc...

The problem with this stuff is that it is all word of mouth. You have to believe someone's personal testimony to be on board with these theories. I'm sorry but that's just not enough. Maybe it is arrogant to say but I feel like my head is screwed on straight and the people that subscribe to these ideas have a pea sized brain. I 100% believe that there is alien life but people tell so many stories that any truth we may have gets lost in junk.

Everything disclosure related all sounds like a crock of shit to me. Until we have hard evidence such as lengthy videos that aren't blurry or conveniently dark or documents from some reliable government, or even a government official step forward with proof, I'm not going to believe this stuff.

Obviously everyone on this sub has some sort of interest in ET life. But guys when you eat up the shit stories and spread them around you push us further away from the truth. If you really want to know what's out there you do need to be skeptical.

So I got past life regression hypnosis 5 days ago...

The therapist used Dolores Cannon's method (totally recommend her books if you haven't heard of her - she has a bunch but I've only read The Three Waves of Volunteers and the New Earth). I learned that two lifetimes ago I was from another planet observing people in ancient Egypt and running (harmless) experiments having to do with energy, vibrations, and frequencies. But on the other side of the planet another alien race ran an experiment that went south and changed all of the energy on the planet and the people on it and caused flooding so we had to leave because the energies could affect us too if we didn't. Apparently I was heartbroken because I loved Earth and the people and I just couldn't let it go... so I returned to Earth in this lifetime to help heal the energies. Pretty incredible experience : )

What's going on?

Ever since a young age, maybe 10-12, (way before the Internet/YouTube/social media revolution) I've had it in my mind that humans were seeded on earth by ET's. I've struggled with getting to sleep my whole life, as a child I had some very strange 'dreams'. From the age of 4 I remember an event that sticks in my mind to this day (now 30) I remember a dark shadowy being moving across my landing and in to my room, it ran its hands from my feet to my head and I screamed as loud as I could, eventually my parents got out of bed and it disappeared. As a young child (3-5) I used to have very sexual dreams. I've always excelled at learning and sailed through exams and tests. I've always been very good at reading people's emotions and regularly know what people are going to say next and finish their sentences. I seem to have very strong powers of persuasion. Ever since the early 2000's I have experienced strange electrical phenomena. Street lights regularly turn off or on in my presence, and reverse their state when I move away. For about 6 months in 2007 light bulbs blew every time I switched them on whilst living at my parents house. This is maybe the weirdest thing, for about two years (2008-2010) I could place an expired/flat battery (AAA) between my finger and thumb and engage and energy wave through my body that made all my body hair stand up and an unusual feeling throughout which seemed to recharge said battery so that it could be reused for several months after it had gone flat. Has anyone experienced anything like these events?

Advice on working for NASA in the future

Working for NASA has been a dream of mine for a long time now and I want your advice on how to reach this goal. I'm a freshmen in mechanical engineering at a pretty big name university. This summer I have not heard back from any of the places I applied to for an internship but have a part time job as a math tutor lined up and in my free time I want to work on some individual projects that will help boost my resume as well as interest me and challenge myself. I am pretty far ahead in my coursework and have set up my schedule for next semester so that next spring I can go on a co-op and still graduate on time (spring of 2019). Ideally my plan is to land a co-op with NASA next spring or another company if NASA does not accept me for that spring. So if anyone can give me some advice on potential summer projects or other ways to put myself in the best position to work for NASA.

How to make a realistic Artificial Gravity for spacecraft?

Hi guys,

I proceed working on a hard sci-fi video game concept. The game takes place in XXII century aboard the "Daedalus" Venus Space Station. I try to achieve the hard sci-fi realism in various details about the setting to make space studies more popular among the audience.

My today’s set of questions is about gravity: zero gravity and artificial gravity for the terms of spacecraft.

PART I: ZERO GRAVITY KILLS

So, according the NASA Office of Inspector General report from October 2015 (http://ift.tt/1qVkhst), one of the major obstacles for the long-term stay in space is zero gravity (or weightlessness) which cause following serious deleterious effects on human health:

1. Loss of Bone Mass (or Spaceflight Osteopenia) – modern astronauts lose 1-2% bone mass per month spent in space. That inflicts critical negative effect on human health. Excessive bone loss and the associated increase in serum calcium ion levels will interfere with execution of mission tasks and result in irreversible skeletal damage. Current countermeasures (increasing dietary calcium, vitamin D, clay eating) can only slow down the process. Though, the only achievable future solution is artificial gravity.

2. Loss of Muscle Mass – another critical negative effect involves the loss of muscle mass. Without the effects of gravity, skeletal muscle is no longer required to maintain posture and the muscle groups used in moving around in a weightless environment differ from those required in terrestrial locomotion. The muscles start to weaken and eventually get smaller. Consequently, some muscles atrophy rapidly, and without regular exercise astronauts can lose up to 20% of their muscle mass in just 5 to 11 days. The types of muscle fiber prominent in muscles also change. Slow twitch endurance fibers used to maintain posture are replaced by fast twitch rapidly contracting fibers that are insufficient for any heavy toil. Despite nowadays each astronaut spends at least two hours per day exercising on the equipment, various treadmills (like COLBERT), the aREDs (advanced Resistive Exercise Device), stationary bicycles can only slow down the process. The only achievable future solution is artificial gravity.

3. Fluid Redistribution – in space the autonomic reactions of the body to maintain blood pressure are not required and fluid is distributed more widely around the whole body. This results in a decrease in plasma volume of around 22%. Because it has less blood to pump, the heart will atrophy. A weakened heart results in low blood pressure and can produce a problem with "orthostatic tolerance," or the body’s ability to send enough oxygen to the brain without the astronaut's fainting or becoming dizzy. Upon return to earth, the blood begins to pool in the lower extremities again, resulting in orthostatic hypotension. Because weightlessness increases the amount of fluid in the upper part of the body, astronauts experience increased intracranial pressure. Beyond that, due to increases pressure on the backs of the eyeballs, it affects their shape and slightly crushing the optic nerve. No cure exists; the only achievable future solution is artificial gravity.

4. Motion Sickness (or Space Adaptation Syndrome) – not very pleasant but for up to 52h human brain adapts. Caused by the conflict between what the body expects and what the body actually perceives. Can be easily surprised by transdermal dimenhydrinate anti-nausea patches (which are usually used nowadays whenever space suits are worn because vomiting into a space suit could be fatal).

Am I correct?

PART II. ARTIFICIAL GRAVITY DRAFT

Okay, based on the Nautilus-X drafts (http://ift.tt/1MHFUAq) let’s imagine such centrifuge (c-Gravity Ring, as it is called on Daedalus). Artificial gravity, here is a result of the use of particularly centripetal force. The only (but decent) issue to make such structure nowadays is the size (hence, the cost) of the spacecraft required to produce centripetal acceleration.

But we’re speaking about realistic 2100+ with all resources of NASA, ESA, Roskosmos, CNSA, ISRO, JAXA, CSA, UKSA, CSAE, CSIRO and ISA combined...

1. Dimensions of the Universal Node: I’ve made the first schemes of the universal modules such c-Gravity Ring might be constructed from (marked them as “colored Nodes”): Blue Node (with 3 gateways), Red Node (with 2 gateways and one “window”), Black Node (with 2 gateways): As they are almost cylindrical, each module is: Length: 16m; Height: 10m; Width 3m. With Pressurized Height: 12m; Pressurized Radius: 2m. Hence, its Pressurized Volume: V = πr²h = 3.14412 = 150m3. // N.B. The ISS’ PV is 916m3.

2. c-Gravity Ring Radius: Than we need to attach those universal modules into regular 16-gon (I tried various modules size combination and came to that 16-gon for the colored modules above as the most realistic) “ring” and calculate the radius of the proper c-Gravity Ring, where S is the length of any side, n is the number of sides: c-Gravity Ring Radius = S / ( 2sin(180/n) ), = 16 / (2sin11.25) = 16 / (2*0.195) = 16 / 0.39 = 41m. // N.B. Nautilus-X’s centrifuge has R of 14m.

3. c-Gravity Ring Rotation Speed: As we want to make Centrifugal Force (F = mw²Radius) be equal to the Gravity Force on Earth surface (F = mg), that leads to w²Radius = g, where g = 9,8m/s2 and Radius we already calculated above (Radius = 41m). Thus: c-Gravity Ring Rotation Speed = sqrt (g/Radius) = sqrt (9.8/41) = sqrt(0.239) = 0.489 rad/s = 4.67 rev/min. // N.B. Nautilus-X’s centrifuge has RS of 10 rev/min.

Does my rough calculations looks realistic?

PART III. GYROSCOPE AXIS STABILIZATION IN SPACE

Well, the rotation of Nautilus-X’s centrifuge as well as the rotation of the c-Gravity Ring turns the whole spacecraft into a huge gyroscope in space. That is definitely good because it helps to fix the VSS on the exact position above the Venus surface. Rotation of the ring is provided by the drives situated on the c-G Ring surface opposite each other.

Though, having studied gyroscope in space behavior I didn’t get it: how could we stabilized the axis of the spacecraft so that it doesn’t rotate with the c-G Ring (Nautilus-X’s centrifuge)? Should additionally drives be placed on the axis to compensate the Ring’s rotation? If so, wouldn’t it break the gyroscope effect of the whole construct?

Hi, r/nasa, a clueless Aussie in need of some advice: Johnson or Kennedy?

Hi all, sorry if this is a stupid question but my wife and I will be travelling to the US later this year and we are super keen to visit a NASA facility. We were planning on visiting Houston for the specific purpose of visiting Johnson.

My understanding is that Kennedy is better, but thought it would be good to see all the history at Johnson (we were intending on leaving Kennedy off for now and instead include it on a subsequent trip with kids with Disneyworld).

However, some of the comments about Johnson leave me concerned that it is more focussed towards kids (although the Level 9 tour seems to be well received).

I want to know, given we are travelling so far, are we wasting our time going to Johnson? Thanks for your advice!

Was asked directions by someone driving a NASA "Asset Recovery Team" van. Who are they and what are they doing?

I was cutting grass in Washington, Pennsylvania and two ladies in an official looking NASA van that said "Asset Recovery Team" asked me where the Washington Co. Airport was because their GPS wasn't getting them there. I gave them directions the best that could and jokingly asked if they had the next Mars Rover in there. They chuckled and said no, something else. I was curious if anyone knows what this job is and what they would be doing in Washington PA?

An update on my visitors

Hello guys, please accept my apologies on the lack of updates to my original post. I've been with my sister for a few days now. The electronics in my flat totally fucking died out completely so I couldn't really function there properly.

Please try to understand what I'm about to say. I don't remember posting half of the fucking updates or comments on my original post. I honestly just do not remember posting them.

The dreams have persisted but I haven't had anything strange happen in my life for the past few days so I am feeling hopeful that whatever the fuck was happening has come to an end. I have also taken a few weeks off from work to help me adjust back into things again.

I have started having a shit load of nose bleeds lately (which I never have) but I'm going to the doctor on Tuesday so they should sort that out.

If you'd like to ask anything, I'm here to reply.

I forgot to add, my neighbor said whoever was running around outside in the corridor of our apartment building stopped after I left to hang with my sister for a while, so I have no fucking idea on that one.

Sources for school project

I am writing an argumentative research project for English class about the benefits of increasing the funding and interest in NASA and space travel in general. Our essay requires 5 sources, two of which cant be online sources (i assume you are allowed to find them online, but need originally be from non internet sources like a science magazine or scholarly journal etc.)

I was just wondering if anybody knows of credible sources, or at least a good place to start, for my project. thanks for any help in advance! :)

ET messages - What are they and why are they here?

What I would really like to know is, how many different groups or races are sending messages? Do they agree or conflict with each other? Why do people choose one over the other? Why not question their reasons for remaining completely hidden, but feeding selective suggestions and ideas into human consciousness? I gather that those who are sending the messages are invariably the good guys, so how do they explain things like abductions and mutilations? And what is up with the hybrids?

Best Films with Grays

Anyone have any recommendations? Preferably looking for films that involve just plain Grays, as they seem to be so hard to find. Filmmakers seem to have trouble with it, as though they feel to need to make them look more monstrous or put their own spin on it rather than go with a "classic" look.

Right now the three I can think of that I have are The Fourth Kind (based on the owl) Close Encounters Dark Skies

I know Fourth Kind is kinda iffy, but the owl was close enough, and the whole thing in general felt more in tune with certain ideas I've encountered. Besides, it terrified me the first time I saw it, so despite the critics, it's become my favorite alien-themed film ever. Also kind of looking for other films that can do that.

Looking for constructive criticism for my small alien-based YouTube channel

Greetings fellow Earthlings,

I'm really shy and nervous, but I have a burning passion for aliens. I've thought and dreamed of aliens since I was a very young child. I was even sent to a school psychologist for obsessively drawing pictures of aliens in the 3rd grade.

I've tried to channel this passion into a YouTube channel, but again, I'm extremely shy so I've only made 4 videos in the course of a year. My goal is for this channel is to have funny/ridiculous commentary based on alien topics. Being funny helps me get over my crippling shyness, but I also want to create sometime a little more unique than a channel based on showing the typical blurred UFO footage.

I'm just looking for insight from the alien community if this style of video works for the subject of aliens, and I would really very much love to get any constructive criticism.
