Ufo Question

Does anyone believe or know of saucers/ships disguising themselves as stars or the moon, or planes?
When I look for ufo's I look for noise, flashing lights that could indicate helicopter or plane, and I look for its movement and where its flight path is and headed, we live right under a flightpath so we can tell what is what and which is which, I also use the satelite app on phone to see if it's satelite.
Asking because I saw a weird one a while ago, bout 1:10AM southern queensland Australia, it had 2 red lights and 2 yellow lights not flashing just static, and was moving slow then fast in a straight line and then it pulsed a white light and then continued until it dissapeared behind a tree where I couldn't watch it anymore.

Flight Surgeon Job Enquiry

As a potential physician starting medical school soon, my goal is to become board certified as an emergency medicine physician, however I ultimately would like to do a residency in aerospace medicine (thus achieving double board certification) and work as a NASA flight surgeon.

My question relates to the work balance a flight surgeon has in terms of practicing both their specialties. The only example I could find that is relevant to my two specialties I would like to practice pertains to astronaut Kjell Lindgren who was a NASA flight surgeon prior to his selection.

Does anyone have any information or would be able to ask someone they know how they balance the two, as I would love to be NASA flight surgeon but I wouldn't want to totally give up being an emergency medicine physician as that is the primary reason I am pursuing medical school.

MAJOR “Coincidences” in the measurements of the Egyptian Pyramids - Speed of Light, Astronomic Unit, Pi and more!

We all know that the Pyramids of Gizeh form a perfect schematic of the constellation Orion. However, the strangeness does not stop here: let’s look at the location and measurements closely.

We shall start in the metric system.

Let us first examine the coordinates of the pyramid, more specifically its latitude: 29.9792 degrees north. Those who are interested in astronomy and physics will immediately recognize the speed of light here - 299.972 km/s.

Now let us look at the height of the monument: 146.6 m. The top is flat (possibly broken off or removed); it would add another three meters to the peak, increasing height to 149.9 m. 149.910⁹ m - 149.9 million km - is the *median orbital distance of Earth from the Sun.

The height and base length leads us to another easily-recognizable constant, Pi. Two base lengths divided by the height equal 3.1415.

Any large structure, including the Great Pyramid of Giza, is of course quite heavy. Its calculated weight equals to 5.97 million tons - 5.9710¹⁸ t is the *mass of Earth.

Let us switch to the Egyptian measurement system and look into the King’s Chamber. Its approximate dimensions in Ancient Egyptian Inches are 309 - 412 - 515, forming a pythagorean triple (proportions equal to 3 - 4 - 5). The dimensions of the largest rock of the pyramid are 093 - 124 - 155, basically the first numbers scrambled to form yet another pythagorean triple of the same proportion.

These are only few of the numbers mathematically encoded in the Great Pyramid - we can also find Phi (the Golden Ratio), Euler’s Number, the Sun’s radius amongst other astronomical measurements and constants through calculation using only the pyramid.

I ask you to answer this question using your sound mind: can these numbers be, by any way, “coincidences”?

According to mainstream historians, Ancient Egyptians did not have such advanced knowledge of mathematics, physics and astronomy. And yet, the Pyramid proves that they knew Pi and the Pythagorean Triangle millenia before the Greeks and exact sizes of Earth and Sun as well as their distances way earlier than European scientists.

And just by the way: do you really think that the construction methods described by archaeologists (dozens of slaves pulling stone slabs on tree trunks) are feasible and that the Pyramides could have been constructed through these primitive means?

There are two possible explanations:

• The Egyptians knew such things WAY before they were “officially” discovered. They were an extremely advanced civilization - either they successfully hid or destroyed their technology and knowledge when the Romans/Europeans came or the conquerors did so themselves.

• Somebody - or something - helped them to build the Pyramids (or did it by themselves/itself)...

[Question] On refueling Kepler, why not?

Kepler has been extremely successful and valuable. It now running out of fuel was to be expected.

​

However, why is there no plan to re-fuel it, since it only requires a few gallons.

​

Launches have never been cheaper, and I would've though it wouldn't be to difficult/expensive to piggyback on a launch with something with the dimensions of the latest cubesats carrying a few gallons of fuel.

​

I understand that 1) possibly(?) Kepler was never designed to be refueled, thus it doesn't have a simple fuel-intake. 2) It's far away, and not easy to get to, but with patience a viable launch window should open up eventually, right?

​

Sorry for the possibly stupid question, but I wonder what the reasons are for not re-fueling it.

NASA’s Parker Solar Probe Breaks Records

NASA’s ambitious mission to “touch the Sun” has now got closer to our star than any prior human-made object.

The Parker Solar Probe exceeded the present record of 42.73 million km (26.55 million miles) from the Sun’s surface this past Monday.

The previous record was set by the German-US Helios 2 satellite back in April 1976.

Besides, the Helios 2 mission set the all-time speed record of nearly 70km/s (43 miles/s). But now, the Parker Solar Probe will beat that, too.

The expectation is that it will eventually reach peak speeds of around 190km/s (690,000km/h; 428,700mph).

The solar probe was launched from Earth in August. It’s on a path that will take it inside the Sun’s outer atmosphere, also known as the corona.

Asgardia aims to create a demilitarized and free scientific base of knowledge in space, and these missions could help Asgardia in that goal.

Data from this area promises to solve long-standing mysteries about our sun’s behaviour.

Parker’s elliptical orbit will move closer to the Sun as the year’s progress. At its closest approach, Parker will get to just 6.12 million km (3.83 million miles) from the star’s broiling “surface.”

Parker will help us learn more about how the Sun works.

For instance, the star is constantly bombarding the Earth with charged particles and magnetic fields. This continuous flow, or “solar wind,” is what produces the stunning auroral lights that appear in polar skies, but some interactions cause much more troubling effects.

For example, the biggest outbursts from the Sun interfere with the Earth’s magnetic field and can cause disruptions to communications, satellites, and power grids that are vulnerable to electrical surges.

To prevent this from happening, scientists try to forecast these “storms.” Now, Parker promises new and valuable information to help them accomplish that.

The diffuse corona is only visible to us on Earth during a total solar eclipse.

The corona is an intriguing place. It’s bizarrely hotter than the Sun’s actual surface, or photosphere. While this can be 6,000 degrees, the outer atmosphere might even reach temperatures of a few million degrees.

The mechanisms that generate this super-heating are not fully understood.

What’s more, the corona is the place where the solar wind gets its big kick in speed, sweeping out across the Solar System at over 500km/s (a million mph).

Thus, Parker’s goal is to solve these mysteries by directly sampling the corona’s particle, magnetic and electric fields.

I recall Michio Kaku was very open to the prospect but he could be saying it to boost his celebrity (who knows).

I would imagine that while there are likely no civilisations within our radio bubble that ships or probes may have detected them but then again we’ve only been pumping them out for ~100 years which is not even a blip in time.

Need advice in applying for the Pathways Program as a non-citizen

I'm currently a sophomore in college majoring in physics (may change to some form of engineering), and I was hoping to apply for the pathways program or an internship.

The trouble is, I'm not yet a U.S citizen, only a permanent resident. I will be eligible to apply for citizenship in a little under 3 years, but by that time, I would have already finished my bachelors and therefore be ineligible for the pathways program. This is problematic because, to my understanding, NASA does almost all its hiring through pathways. So what can I do, if anything? It's super demoralizing to be locked out of this opportunity because of something that's out of my control.

Strange experience as a child

So I am not sure if this is the right place to post this. As a child I was awake and laying in my bed waiting to sleep in my dark room. As I was laying in my bed, my room started to get bright. I don't know if the light started outside my window, but the light began to envelop my room insanely fast. I became absolutely terrified and the room was blindingly bright. I have still never seen a light comparable to this. At that moment I took my blanket and covered my face as fast as i could and a few moments after my blanket covered my eyes my memory is gone. I guess I could have fallen asleep, but my heart was racing incredibly fast, and the memory of that moment has an incredibly strong halt. It's hard to describe.

I have no idea how old I was. Probably around 9, but could have been later or earlier.

I saw this strange cube UFO float past the International Space Station

So I don't think it's part of the ISS though the other objects that come into frame after it are definitely part of the ISS as far as i'm aware. This could be space junk or something released by the ISS. It's too hard to tell what it is but it definitely seemed alien to me the way it was floating eerily as if by its own accord in space. Sorry for the bad footage. I had to record it and then convert it to MP4 to upload it here. Hard to say what it is but it doesn't look like part of the ISS to me.

Does Kepler spatially resolve stars?

On Kepler's data products site, they explain the Target Pixel Files which show stars spanning multiple pixels in the data. However, on Kepler's characteristics site it is explained how and why Kepler is purposely defocused so that the light from stars spread across more pixels. My question is whether or not Kepler actually spatially resolves the stars it is looking at by any amount or if stars taking up multiple pixels is purely due to this purposeful spreading of the light across pixels. That is, if somehow the right half of a star were twice as bright as the left half of a star, would Kepler be able to tell (without any transit or other event making the problem easier)? Would Kepler see brighter pixels on the right than on the left? Thank you!

First Man Charts During Rendezvous?

In the First Man movie, Neil pulls out a chart that he uses to calculate the deltaV on orbit required for their maneuvers to catch up to the Agena. I have searched trying to find more about these charts and how to use them but can't seem to find them anywhere. Summary:

This video is an official training course led by Remote Viewing millitary ranked officers. They are very thorough in the process of the training and certianly show this is a SKILL-based application and needs time, training, and dedication. At the time stamp above, it is during the FAQ with the Major. During the FAQ, he was asked many questions about remote viewing. Some of the questions wandered into Area 51, ETI's, and Angels, of which he carefully disclosed information that he thinks he could have.

Videos like these remain up because the mainstream is not instructed to pick it, and those that find the video are meant to. And because of its length, it often is predisposed to being simply glossed over by a majority of the public. I highly recommend watching in full and trying for yourself. It takes some distancing from your current reality, but it is well worth it. Remote viewing is fantastic and I highly encourage all to try it.

Steps to becoming a professional astronomer / astrophysicist?

I am an 18 year-old living in backwater New York, seeking to one day work with large telescopes like the EELT, X-ray telescopes and the likes. My family is fairly poor and my parents never even bothered making a savings account for me when I was born so we have virtually no money saved up for college. From the school I've studied at as a child, the American education system has ruined my cognitive ability to perform math well and in turn I'm not very smart when it comes to math, even though the field has much to do with physics (which is one thing I hope to overcome.) Since New York has the SUNY programs, I do however have free access to community college -- but that will only last so long. I've come to a point that I've reached a depression because one of my parents also refuses to assist me with their information on the FAFSA, which has made my ambitions crunch even more than they already have been.

Right now, I feel as if my future may be looking grim. Are there any professional astronomers working with NASA or any other large facility that can give me tips, advice or anything else to help guide me along this path or have had a similar experience while working their way up the ladder that would like to share? As a side note, if anyone here is able to provide feedback, what minor should I take in college?

Greys look like deer right after the sun sets.

I was walking a field recently and walked right up on a bunch of does (female deer). They were maybe 50ft from me. Their ears are really big and almond shaped. They pop up in just the right way to look like big almond eyes. The rest of their face creates a triangular shape just like the rest of a greys face and the nose looks like the little mouth.

Check it out for yourselves sometime. If you live near some woods and there are some fields near there will be deer. People just don't look for them and they come out right after dark so they go unoticed. Sneek up on some with the wind in your face. It gave me the massive creeps. It is a spitting image of the stereotypical grey. A little moonlight gives just the right shadows. You even get the goofy little body with stick legs.

To add to the creepiness I was thinking about how abductions always have some dude getting dragged down a hallway and getting an anal probe. It made me think of how when you shoot a deer you drag it to an opening and when you gut it you remove the intestine with a circular cut around the exit to keep the meat from getting poo on it. Maybe the deer spirits are pissed or confused and are out for revenge or something, lol. Yeah, I know far out, but so are aliens.

Stan Romanek

I have just finished watching Netflix documentary “Extraordinary - The Stan Romanek Story” and I guess this is more about my own beliefs and conflictions with alien theory and I just want to get a different perspective.

I guess where I fail to submit myself to believing wholeheartedly in stories such as these is if such things are true surely it would not be so readily available to watch?

For example, in the above documentary Stan Romanek explains how certain events he captured on film and photographs were mysteriously removed from his camera in front of his eyes. He also argues that he was framed as being a child sex offender after he was allegedly caught with child pornography. He further alleges that he was jumped by four ‘military-style men’ and told to ‘keep his mouth shut’, it’s assumed that this is in relation to the extraterrestrial experiences.

If such measures were taken to keep him quiet why is this documentary available to view on Netflix any many more like it? This may be quite a naive question.

A part of me thinks that people of power see this and may approach it by letting these documentaries and what not stay out there as a way of discrediting them, a ‘out of sight out of mind’ approach, if you will. But a nagging part of me always thinks if even 20% of Stan’s comprehensive story is true, that is truly something.

What do you guys think?

Possibly Two UFOs: One is Disc Shaped with a Pattern and One is Cross Shaped seen during ISS Live Stream!

So I was watching the ISS live stream again and I saw two objects that do not look like part of the ISS that I have seen at least. Though it could be the ISS or space junk. Could also simply be radiation corrupting the feed as seems apparent. But these objects went by really fast in this clip and I had to slow down the feed to the slowest possible speed to see it. The encircled objects in the bottom left square (CAM-2) contains two UFOs. One is disc shaped or an orb or sphere and has a pattern on its side. There are a few other artefacts next to it and I don't know if they are part of the UFO or different UFOs or just corruption or space junk. I think the disc shape might possibly be a disc shaped UFO because it looks like an actual 3 dimensional object with a pattern and form. The other one might just be radiation or something but has a cross like shape. I dimmed the exposure to make them easier to see. Any thoughts? Probably nothing but I thought they were kind of cool nonetheless. You may have to download the pics and zoom in to see them clearly. If I enhance it anymore it would be hard to see them. They are circled in white to stand out more clearly.

GOLD PLATED Orb/Spaceship?

I just got done watching a video about dimensions. It was in awe when he explained 4th-dimensional beings being able to appear and disappear in the blink of an eye. It reminded me, a few years back i was walking around my neighborhood at night with a few friends, when out of nowhere a huge GOLDEN ORB appeared. I became emotional, almost hysterical to what I was seeing. Unreal, unfathomable, it seemed to be as big as the sun, but almost touching the earth. Gold, plated mirrors, almost like a disco ball. I wish what I was was not real but the others with me confirmed. And once it was out of sight, it disappeared completely. I ran back to the same position and it was nowhere to be found. Freaked out, my only thought was... UFO. Has anyone else seen this same GOLD PLATED ORB at night?

Story time

Back in high school my buddy and I used to go to his house after sports and get baked. One night when I stayed over we went up to the pool house for a light night burn and while we were smoking there was a flash just above the tree line. I thought I was crazy or just really stoned until my friend said “dude you saw that right?”. Then it flashed again, and again, and the flashing started to speed up. Our hair stood up and we started to feel really strange and he and I flipped out and sprinted into the house. When we looked around the next day to see if there was anything around that could have been the source of the flashing there was nothing. We both came to the conclusion that we were almost abducted by aliens and didn’t really talk about it again. I thought you guys would like the story.

Is this a glitch or a cigar shaped UFO?

So I know of those infamous cigar shaped classic UFO types that you often see in black and white photos. Now I may have just seen in a third party live stream of the Earth from space from the NASA ISS live stream. They show a second camera that the official NASA live stream doesn't show sometimes. This live stream camera 2 showed a really strange frame. The camera was moving up and down then suddenly jumped to this frame, caught this image, and jumped back. I managed to grab a screen shot of what appears to be a vertical cigar shaped UFO seemingly floating in the abyss of space. I don't know if it's space junk or built by NASA. Maybe it is a normal satelite but it looks like one of those typical cigar-shaped UFOs to me. What do you think? Is it a legit spacecraft or just space junk or a glitch?
