New on Reddit Vet on Ancient Alien Theory

While I'm new to Reddit I have a great deal of knowledge about the Ancient Alien Theory and U.F.O.'s in general. I believe we are most certainly not alone and there is sufficient evidence of advanced beings mistakenly taken as gods. While I believe there is a God that created our universe and resides outside of it, ancient humans would look to us as if we were gods so they're view and version of things may be flawed. Racism towards Aliens

What if in the future there is a planet or civilization that lives with people from other planets, including humans. Basically like Xandar from Guardians of the Galaxy, but instead of being racist towards our own race, the issue of racism is now literally against other races, in other words aliens. Question for NASA employees

Hello!

To NASA full-time workers, how difficult is it transfer jobs internally in NASA?
For example, can a budget analyst become an engineer or vice versa? (Considering you have the appropriate educational background).

I am curious because I'll be a Pathways intern this summer for a role I am unsure if I would like to stay for long-term but don't want to pass up because working at NASA is my dream job.

bright orb flying low in the night

a few weeks ago at about 10 at night I was beside a cemetery with 2 others smoking a few spliffs , out of nowhere a small bright ball of light (maybe tennis ball size) started approaching us on the path , it was so bright and moving not to far off the ground until It stopped and started flashing for us, it was almost watching us then as I approached slowly it flew away. I was with 2 others and we all saw the same thing. Anyone else heard of or saw something like this?

My snapshot sighting, a black oval illuminated by a flash of lightning in the sky.

Aorry if it's the wrong sub. I felt like writing this for no particular reason. It's late and I'm super bored. I don't really care if you don't believe this; there's no reason for you to and I understand. I guess I just want this to be online somewhere if, even if poorly written, it can be useful or interesting for someone. Again, claim that I'm nuts or seeking attention or whatever and I'm not going to dispute you, the way that it happened is even set up to sound fake which I find pretty funny.

I've tried to dramatise it before when i used to write it back to myself too see how it sounds but it just comes off as lame, so here it goes:

I was 12 years old, or thereabouts and in the middle of the night I was suddenly awake. Outside there was some distant lightning, and I guess I just decided to look at it (outside my bedroom window). Not for any reason that I can recall, just that I was now for some reason awake and noticed that there was lightning. One lightning strike was nearer, and in that snapshot of light my eyes rapidly focused on a now illuminated pitch black oval hanging higher above, but well in my line of sight. (The sky lit up while the black oval maintained its darkness which was camouflaging it into the sky). I continued to stare at where I knew it now was, and of course I didn't see anything further as it was pitch black outside again.

And that's it haha. I wish I could say more but that's all there is to it.

The only other detail I hung on to which it found interesting is how, during that flash of lightning, the light seemed to form a sort of corona around the oval, which I saw really only on its underside, like, now that I think about it, it was a 3d object rather than like a 2d portal type of thing. But idk that's my momentary thought on it. The light shone quite brightly around its underside, but the top half and its sides were more or less pitch black (from what I remember as my memory might be flawed - which I doubt because obviously I made a good effort to remember this but still).

Okay theres actually one more detail I found interesting, to do with how I woke up. I just sort of gained full consciousness seemingly all at once like I was kicked out of my sleep cycle and just forced to be fully awake. Didn't wake up from a dream or because it was cold or hot or anything. Just awake. Now that I think about it maybe it was the lighting that woke me up though (didn't make any sound, just light).

Nothing else out of the ordinary has happened to me in my life to do with aliens or paranormal activity of any kind. I don't believe in conspiracies (at least I don't think I do) either. I don't suffer from hallucinations of any kind. Just mentioning that.

So I was probably dreaming then, you might say, but you know the difference between a memory of a dream and a real memory. There was nothing dreamlike of the blandness of the nights silence, how cold it was in my room, how dark and unmoving everything except for the slow roll of clouds and flashes of light was. The inside of my room littered with clothes as usual, silent like outside. How i could feel with all my senses the environment (feeling the bed, my breathing, temperature) which doesn't happen during dreams, where usually it's just sight and sound (at least for me). I made the case actually after it happened to try as hard as I could to remember it and not think I was just dreaming when I'd wake up the next morning. Anyway yeah that's my attempt at convincing you I wasnt dreaming because it pissed me off at 12 that my dad wouldn't believe me and told me that I was actually dreaming. I'd rather people think I'm a liar than too stupid to be able to tell the difference between a dream and reality, anyway im going way off topic.

Yeeeep, that's it lol. I always thought about writing this but was worried about if I was.. supposed to lol but yeah I figure im fine and yeah I figure it should be put there somewhere online because hey it might be interesting for someone, regardless if they think this is fake af or not.

I had my feelings at the time about it and I have them now, but I thought they're pretty irrelevant so maybe I'll just summarise them here before I close it off. Im not really surprised and I don't really care, it doesn't affect me in my day to day life as far as I'm aware. I have no idea what to make of it anyway, maybe one day the event might inspire something but now at 19 its like, eh I have more pressing things at the moment. Yep.

What is the exact rehabilitation protocol that NASA astronauts complete after being in space for a long time?

I'm especially interested in what rehab an astronaut who takes longer to recover does? I've read Joan Vernikos' book Sitting Kills Moving Heals and she talks about gravity deprivation syndrome and how astronauts need rehab but she doesn't mention the rehab, only things normal healthy people should be doing to use gravity.

Advice for being a competitive applicant for NASA 4th year clerkship? (medical school)

Hey r/nasa, I'm not exactly sure to post this and if anyone knows where I should post this please let me know.

Long story short, I'm currently a graduate student and I am starting medical school this year. I'm really interested in working as a flight surgeon for NASA taking care of the astronauts, researching the effects of spaceflight on human physiology, etc. I know there is a clerkship available for 4th-year medical students at the Johnson Space Center that would be awesome to do.

I'm currently not eligible for military service and being a flight surgeon as I am taking concerta to help me study. Would that be an issue for applying for or working for NASA in the future? I perform pretty well academically taking the medicine, and I would need to be off of it for a year to be eligible for military service. Is it worth it for me to try and not take it or are getting the most competitive scores in school more important? What can I be doing now to show my interest in aerospace research and medicine for my application for the clerkship and aerospace residencies in the coming years? We've had a couple of NASA flight surgeons come talk to us at school and I jump on every opportunity I get to see them. I feel like I need something more concrete to show to make me stand out from the crowd. Thanks guys and sorry for the barrage of question!

I'm looking for footage from a news broadcast in the late 90's maybe 96-98, it's a meteorologist showing off their new doplar radar, and there are three large kidney shaped objects going over midwest state's and then over the great lakes

I think I saw this footage on Ancient Aliens also, but cannot find that episode. I clearly remember this broadcast as it happened and would love to be able to show my Dad the footage. I think the path of travel was from Southwest to Northeast over Lake Michigan.

Okay, let's say, fast forward 1000+ years, we have discovered every piece of brain circuit and know how every phenomenon in the mind gets generated e.g. How and why someone feels love towards other, how someone gets a sense of beauty, how we get a sense of smell, taste.

What significance will it have for common folks?

What significance will it have for passionate people?

• They will be able to replicate emotions, perceptions like smell, touch, etc. And abstract perceptions like love, hatred, etc.
• They will be able to convert the brains understanding into products and services.
• They will be able to sell these products and services to others
• They will make common people think that they are missing something
• Some of them will realize that they themselves can use these services and products for their own minds.

And again for common folks, they will just become consumers of these products and services.

Help Remembering Alien Phenomenon Name? Driving me crazy!

Gonna probably post about this on the TOMT subreddit too, but I thought this was a good first place to ask: A looooong time ago I remember this famous alien case/thing/whatever. Pretty much a UFO crashed and an alien survived, who was then taken to a military base.

It was nice and personable, apparently, and they let it live on the base. Not only that, but they let it have access to the internet and it posted in a bunch of forms. Obviously, a lot of people thought it a joke but then shit started getting real and then it all just stopped.

I can't for the life of me remember the name of the phenomenon -- specifically the alien. It had a name and everything. I don't know if it was real event, a conspiracy or even some sort of ARG. Hell, I'm still not sure if it was even a fever dream I had after watching Paul or something. If this sounds vaguely familiar in any way, let me know -- I'll appreciate all the help I can get!

Part-Time Pathways Internships

Hello, this is my first post here so I apologize is it is inappropriate to ask this question here!

I am an engineering student at a university applying for co-ops and I’m interested in NASA Pathways. I recently discovered there are also pathways positions listed as part time — this may be a silly question, but I was wondering if anybody knew if these positions are genuinely part time (ie less than 40 hours per week) or if they are labeled part time because the position only lasts a few months.

My university requires full time positions and I would like to clarify this so I do not apply for anything I don’t qualify for. It is proving difficult to find more information about part vs full time pathways co-ops. Thank you so much to anybody who can share information with me!!

What's up with r/UFOs? Mods like to delete posts secretly there now?

Maybe this has always been a mod favorite pastime. They deleted my link to the Travis Walton documentary for no possible reason I can see.

Some PhD student conducting a survey from Georgia Tech contacted me about it. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known they deleted it.

I checked out the sidebar rules before and after...no reason for it to be deleted. Kinda seems like the mods may be trying a bit too hard to control the conversation. That documentary won 17 awards for a reason. 8 people don't pass lie detector tests when the local law enforcment suspects them of murdering their friend if they're lying. It's also quite clear that everyone is obviously telling the truth—just watch it and you can plainly tell.

Prior to watching the Travis documentary, I watched Beyond The Spectrum - Being Taken and it described the Travis documentary in contrast to the highly biased Wikipedia entry on Travis, so I was happy to see the Travis doc was also on Amazon Prime. I watched it immediately after.

Once you watch the Travis documentary, you can clearly see why professional debunkers don't want people watching it. The bias from the dunkers on Travis's Wikipedia entry is outrageous. It amounts to blatant lying.

I haven't bothered to look at the various edit history of the Wikipedia article, but I would bet every time someone corrects it to be less absurd, it quickly gets revised again and the person who dared to edit it probably gets banned from editing Wikipedia. I remember once several years ago I edited a Wikipedia page and it was quickly edited back, so I edited it right back and I received a threat from a Wikipedia moderator stating I had been banned and my IP was recorded, it would be a Federal crime of some sort if I continued and if I did they would contact Federal authorities. I don't remember what the topic was, but it was pretty trivial, actually. Nothing conspiracy oriented or UFOs or anything like that. But, I learned that some Wiki entries are fiercely guarded. I'd bet Travis's entry is one of them.

So, I guess now we can assess r/UFOs and see how the general slant goes about Travis Walton.

I want to see the mars rover launch in 2020, where do I start?

I'm sorry if this is an overly broad question. I've always wanted to see a rocket launch and I've regretted for years now never going to see the shuttle launch. I live in Gainesville, so it's only about a 3 hour drive away (though to be fair when the shuttle retired I lived in Pensacola, which added a lot of hours to the drive).

I don't know what to expect or where to start. Do you need a special pass? Where do you even go to watch the launch? Can I take a tour of the NASA facilities while I'm there? Can I expect a ton of people to be there? Do I need to plan this out now to make sure everything goes smoothly?

Steven Spielberg and Disclosure

We all know Steven Spielberg has a keen interest in aliens and UFO:s, and what I've always appreciated with most of his movies is his more inquisitive, human and less action-y approach to the phenomenon with more basis in the UFO lore, where in other popular culture portrayals the aliens are more often than not just invading monsters who wants to take over our world.

Over the years there have been a growing number of theories and rumours that Spielbergs movies have more basis on real life events than we would give them credit for. The reason for this, some claim, is to acclimatize the general public to the possibility of alien visitation. If there is a truth to the phenomenon, and it's "The Powers that Be"s intent to eventually disclose this information, it actually makes kind of sense.

For example there's the "Project Serpo" which was an alleged exchange program between humans and the greys, where we sent 10 men and 2 women to planet Serpo in the Zeta Reticuli system. This is reflected in the ending to Close Encounters of the Third Kind, whose title comes from J Allen Hyneks scale to better catalog UFO reports. Hynek as most of you know worked on Project Blue Book, the US governments official investigation into UFO:s, and he served as a consultant to Spielberg on the movie, and even had a cameo in it.

The UFO landing itself in Close Encounters is purportedly inspired by the landing of a real UFO at Holloman Air Force Base. The footage was supposedly filmed and to be used in a documentary but was withdrawn at the last second, although a few seconds of it still made it out to public, which can be seen here.

Moving on from Close Encounters, Spielbergs movie ET: The Extra Terrestrial was shown in a special screening at the White House for President Ronald Reagan where he looked around the room and stated:

"There are a number of people in this room who know that everything on that screen is absolutely true.”

This was confirmed by Spielberg himself, and he shrugged it off as a joke, even though Reagan said it without smiling.

Then we have Spielbergs phenomenal miniseries Taken which I remember fondly when I was younger. I've only been really into the UFO phenomenon for the last couple of years and I read up a little about the aliens in that series#Aliens) and it caught me a little off guard how much of it seems to resonate in the really esoteric, excotic and non nuts-and-bolts UFO lore.

Then there were the interdimensional beings from Indiana Jones 4, which seems to take more inspiration from the Ancient Astronaut theory, but Spielberg was understandably against putting these in the movie.

So was Spielberg nudged to explore all these facets in his movies, even unknowingly? Or was he just someone with a keen interest in UFO:s and simply had the means to make movies about them? I would personally go with the latter, but it sure makes for a compelling conspiracy theory.

Maybe in a couple of years Spielberg could make a movie surrounding the relatively recently announced Pentagon AATIP/AAWSAP program and the incidents they investigated.

Aliens over my apartment SCANING ME?

So today the 28th of February its 2:47am. Its happening as I am writing this. So I was listening to so asmr on my bed, I'm on lower part of the bunk bed when all of sudden I my head started to hurt and it still hurts. I then listened to this high pitch sound. So I first think that it's my head making the sound. So I recorded it and I put maximum volume and notice that it wasn't my head so then I recall to another time where there was a high pitch sound and I recorded, when that happened I still think it was an alien space ship over my apartment hovering or scanning me. I also live at 6th floor which is the last floor. I will post the other first encounter on YouTube and will link tomorrow. I would write more but I just wanted to get this out there if anyone has any idea of what this could be.

singularity of tech. can we expect more?

in the last few days i was watching the latest tech giant (Samsung) unveil their new phones and mobile gadgets and i just couldn't think about any else but the sad truth that mobile technology is at its peak , but rather in an unpleasant way.

each mobile phone out there is a black box with a touch screen and it can do (almost) everything we came to expect from a mobile device . a large lithium battery and some camera futures that are niche or gimmick but nothing that relay makes your inner child aw . as i see it just like laptops and personal computers did few years ago. all of the large companies are relay in a slow walk to singularity. some try to create a better walled garden like apple or Samsung and some try to invest in better cloud computing services (Microsoft, amazon etc) but it all seems to bleak in my opinion, and the truth is i have not found an interesting research or any thing that can be implied to personal smarter devices that actually makes a tech leap in any direction. (folding tablets i can put in my pockets are not the thing).

do you feel the same? can we expect a leap of sorts now days? maybe its the narrowing of imagination of engineers working days and nights on debugging rather than on dreaming what can be built and made that makes life better?

would love to hear your ideas and maybe contradictions to these thoughts.

Could prison / jail sentences potentially be replaced with neurological rewiring in the future?

In a future when we can rewire our brains, a criminal's mind could be rewired to remove all criminal tendencies from him and turn him into an upstanding citizen.

Therefore, if that ever becomes possible, could the whole prison / jail system be replaced with a rewiring of minds in order to replace criminal predispositions with more wholesome and law-abiding ones?

Respectfully, can writing in a lofty character voice be the same as channeling? Why or why not?

Please forgive me if anything I say is against the grain of the sub. I believe in some unexplained electromagnetic phenomena in crop circles, I have seen UFOs and I am open to the idea of aliens being both an unexplained phenomenon and a government cover up. In all this confusion, channeling aliens or even a true higher self is a very interesting idea. But I am trying to understand how and if it can be separated from creative writing. I think human creativity is a blessing and a gift from higher powers. And there are so many ways it can be used. For good and bad and neutral.

As a writer, I am fascinated by the idea that "my" best (or worst) ideas aren't really mine and I believe there was an old European belief in the "genius" that is similar to this notion. The "genius" is a separate entity that tells creative people what to do and how to write music and epic stories. As a writer, I can honestly attest to countless times that my writings synced up in ways I could not possibly have planned if I had spent years on a complex chart studying the topics I write about, and I can only explain this as something much bigger than me helping me present information. Not just my mind doing super calculations (which I think is a mystical belief of scientism) but some kind of "tapping into" collective conscious and creative intelligence.

However, this seems different from Urantia and Conversations With God: An Uncommon Dialogue books, which seem to be genuine attempts at giving voice to specific council or consciousness ... specific entities, if you will.

But are these techniques of channeling open to all of us? Like if I decided I were contacted by a being named El Rocky Socky the Planar, maybe while I was in a state that needed a lofty confident personality to remind me of my own beliefs, and I just started writing in that creative voice by tapping into my highest values and hopes for humanity, could it be argued that I actually did reach my higher self, or, like, a being at the same "level" as my higher self, if I really really tried?

Could it be argued that by simply disassociating from a natural creative voice, this is the method by which humanity can reach a metaphysical contact with higher intelligence? Like, not necessarily an El Rocky Socky but something else whose unearthly name eludes us and who allows itself to use the silly language I use?

I want to believe that perhaps those who have dedicated so much time to channeling and spreading books of their channeling information (and inspiring people like David Wilcock to talk about it as fact maybe) are actually accessing "higher" information. But another part of me wonders if they are gamblers that have to tell themselves, "This is real channeling" in order to access their own confidence and they don't actually have any idea if it's what they must socially claim it is.

If we assume good intentions on the part of the "alien channelers", and we have the right to do so, this would be an argument for their epic long books being an authentically alien or spiritual voice. Because as an honest writer I could not merely lean into creative disassociation and call it the same thing as channeling. So then it seems to come down to my belief that the writer is choosing a public gambit or authentically channeling, no matter how strange or even contradictory the knowledge from different entities appears.

But is it possible that "channeling" real (or deceptive) beings and "creative reaching" are different? And could it be that some people with good intentions could fail to make that distinction because their faith precludes them from thoughtful discernment between these two things? Have any alien channelers given convincing statements that they are capable of such a distinction, shown it's more (or less) than ordinary creative genius (or given indications their source is a negative entity fooling them by playing to their ego)?

And if you could choose the most compelling "alien channeler" to read, what would you recommend? Even if it's just for a good sci fi experience at best?

NASA Internship with no relevant experience

Hi all,

I'm a high school senior with an interest in astronomy/astrophysics and am looking for something to do this summer. I found the NASA internship program and was interested. However, I have no engineering or physics experience outside of the classroom. While I've done impressive internships and programs before and have work experience, they've all been in completely non-related fields (for example, my work experience comes from working at a summer camp). Basically, my main selling point as an applicant would be my enthusiasm and interest (along with grades and other surface-level stuff like that) and I'm sure I could write a compelling essay. That leads to the question: should I even apply or would I be wasting my time?

What should I do?

Hey high school senior here! I got a full ride to Florida Institute of Technology (my dream school) and for those who dont know, its located either on or near the space coast, nearby the Kennedy Space Center. I want to go into a space-related career, but I'm not too sure what exactly it is. Astrobiology and astrophysics are extremely interesting to me, but so is the engineering aspect behind space mechanisms and the such. Do any of you know of any way to merge these majors into a career? Preferably astrobiology and engineering because these 2 disciplines are my favorite. Thank you so much for your help

Seeking some guidance. Hybrid problems.

Hi I just have some questions I never really considered branching out but figured I'd see if anyone else has had any similarities in their life. I'm 29, was diagnosed with Asperger's as a kid. I have green eyes. A bright strawberry birthmark and lots of other just regular birthmarks. I frequently have Deja Vu or just know things. Like literally know things based off nothing. Having Asperger's growing up I had trouble understanding body posture or vocal expressions so I think I over compensated by Idk how else to explain it, force people to tell me their emotions? Like I can't read thoughts or anything but I can tell peoples emotions if I form and force a mental question to them. As I've gotten older I've learned to "mimic" interacting with people, smiling, telling jokes etc etc. Still sometimes it's hard to relate. Anyways ever since I was little I've been visited by shadow people in my dreams. They talk very loud and its like a rumbling and it shakes my body in my dreams. I've seen something that could have been an E.T once in my life and it was three little grey short things staring at me as I walked by a house that had all it's lights on pulsing and felt weird vibrations in the ground, and weird noises coming from inside the house. I just nodded my head all casual, as if this wasn't anything out of the ordinary to see at 2am walking to the store. Soon as I went past a bend in the street I ran. The lights started turning off as I went so I held my knife out in front of me and Idk like hissed snarled as if that was some commonly understandable form of communication and the lights stopped going off a little before I made it to the main road. I took the long way back that night. Other than that one experience only shadow people and like light? beings. I don't think I've ever been abducted but I have had many bizarre dreams that felt very real. I was once sleeping over at my grandparents house and in my dream I woke up to go pee and everyone else was lying staring at the ceiling except my grandmother who was staring blank into the bathroom mirror before her face popped off like a mask. It freaked me out so I ran to the bathroom and some gray distorted head tried looking at me through the sky light so I had trouble peeing then the door started rattling and all of a sudden I was outside the house holding hands with some shadowy figure that wouldn't let me look at it but it held my hands reassuringly and let me lay my head in it's warm and silky smooth lap. Like nylon but minus the noise it makes when you touch it. It didn't say anything but it gave off emotions like it loved me and was there to comfort me. Weird noises were heard from the house and yells as it held me close and stroked my hair until I fell asleep in my dream. Lots of other sleep paralysis dreams. Lots of weird dreams where it's like I'm the only person in school and people I've never seen before are teaching me about vibrational frequencies, showing me diagrams of how black holes form, what their life cycle is and how to use their properties for scientific research etc. I've also felt like I can channel energy into doing things I need or want. Often when it's destructive or harmful to others I get the overwhelming urge to cry about or feel just the deepest guilt like I've failed some final test for a degree while losing a loved one. Often though I try to touch people to give them warmth. I believe in Angels (fallen or ones in good standing) and can often talk to them while sleeping. I have an affinity for Azazel. Something about him being here and being cast out for trying to positively meddle with our DNA really clicks with me. Obviously angels are non human entities but regardless I know they exist, I refuse to call most of the fallen ones demons because many of them fell out of grace for what??? Telling us to open our eyes through the gift of knowledge? Trying to positively meddle with our DNA or breed with us?? That is a whole other thing though so I'll stop at that, by just saying I can see other sides to what we call The Universe (not with my eyes but inside my head) and can feel the heat/vibration from those areas. WHAT THE FUCK AM I AND HOW THE FUCK DO I MAKE IT STOP!!? I don't want this bullshit but saying that makes me sad like I am letting people down, like I saw a baby in a rain storm said fuck it and watched it get eaten by a bear. I mean some things I got over after a while. The constant ringing in the ears, weird electrical pinches under my left ear and behind my eyes, occasional random numb parts of skin, waking up feeling like a spot of skin is on fire. But has anyone else had to deal with this shit too? Is there anything that helps?? Natural remedies, western medicine, spiritual medicine?? Anything. I have had to deal with it for 29 years and I just want to learn to deal with it. I'm tired of having dreams where I'm forced to watch people I've never seen in places I've never seen die in mass quantities like a giant sigh. I'm not even gonna ask what species this would qualify me as unless thats important for moving forward. I just want to know things that'll help. Like anything really. I've tried natural drugs, tried hard drugs, tried ignoring it, tried prescribed medications. And it always comes back. I am sure some hippie type quasi-yogi is gonna tell me embracing it is the answer but how?? How do you embrace that life that feels like an unending existential mission and also try to maintain a life in the real world? Idk any guidance would be helpful. My family's never been any help on it. I mean me telling them some of my shadowy people dreams where we'd walk by their sleeping bodies scares them. And my doctors etc have always either ignored it as "You're just a very active dreamer," or been overly hippie about it like "Ohhh wow here hold this crystal necklace and tell me what it makes you feel." Okay I'm done ranting. I successfully made it to 530 am which means I can sleep without them bothering me lol love that trick. Anyways hope everyone who reads this takes care and has a wonderful day. Question about going to the moon

Why do Mars rovers work so much longer after their mission is over?

Rovers like Curiosity, Spirit and Opportunity stays in work for at least a few years before they stop(ped) working (and just because they met unexpected accident), so why ?

One major plot hole in the time traveling aliens that could just be humans in the future.

I made this point before and I still stand behind it.

Civilizations that would have invented time travel would need to be completely integrated into an AI system.

So this goes for future humans or just other aliens. Also not just time travel but civilizations capable of interstellar travel would have atleast cybernetic alterations.

If you are to believe highly advanced civilizations are 100% organic this is pretty ridiculous. We are all ready transitioning into an age of cybernetic alterations and we haven't even been to mars.

I will debunk a couple of the arguments ive seen against this

1. "Civilizations advance different technologies further than others."

This is the best argument ive seen so far. And it does make sense if it wasn't for the simple fact that technologies relate in a way that if one isn't advanced enough it will hinder others or vice versa. Think if we had boeing 747's in the 1800s, millions of people able to travel from continent to continent. But without modern day medicine and vaccines this would be a disaster and soon governments would be giving out huge incentives out to medical researchers of all kinds. This is just one example but their are many more.

1. " Aliens chose to abandon AI because the danger it could pose to their species"

The only circumstance I could see this being viable is if it was some sort of hive mind species. If they are anything like humans this is extremely unlikely.

1. "They are AI but have maintained an organic outside appearance as to not lose their humanity"

This seems to be what is most likely and I actually agree with this, but then again it isn't really an argument against the case , actually the opposite.

Let me know what you guys think , but it better not be some bullshit explanation, I will be able to tell if it is.

Has anyone heard of sunglasses are suppose to remind us we are controlled by ALIEN overlords

So apparently you use the sun or any light for that matter and let the light hit your eyes and you can see the reflection in the sunglasses they look like alien eyes and that is suppose to be the master and that is why the center of the eye has a pupil because you are the pupil to the master.

Looking for an old abduction video.

Hi, I was recntly watching ghost adevntures when an old alien abduction tape I saw when I was a kid on youtube came to my mind. I tried finding again but had no luck, but I swear it was out there. It featured two boys, and it started out with them in the car. I think they saw something and ran into a house and hid upstairs for while, before going back downstairs, armed with a bat. I remember them looking aorund the house and some creature walking in between them on camera. I don't remember how it ended after that. It's not the family one either. I think it's strange that I can't find zip about this online anywhere, or no one has mentioned it. This was back around early youtube days when I saw it, late 2000s

Nasa's "Be a Martian" app gone from Play Store?

So I use Nasa's "Be a Martian" app to stay up to date with the latest updates from Curiosity and InSight. But last week the app started giving me "cannot connect" errors, so I went to the Google Play store to see if maybe there was an update I needed to download and discovered that the app has completely disappeared from the store.

Does anyone know what's going on with the Be a Martian app? I've tried googling but haven't found anything about it. The app is still listed on Nasa's mobile site, but the link to the app just leads to a "page not found", and the app is gone from the Play Store mobile app as well.

Hoping to find some answers, it was such a great way to keep up with the latest on Mars :(

anyone watching the stars tonight?

ive been outside for about an hour stargazing now, and it has been intense.

i started months back shining a spotlight into the sky at night, only saw one flash response. about a week ago a military grade laser arrived in the mail, these suckers can supposedly light a matchstick, but anyways...

About five minutes into tonight's gazing i noticed a blue star to the east and a green star to the west that rested dead level with each other across the sky., No clouds mind you, nice and clear.

The blue star flashed twice and instantly the green responded with one flash, wrote it off as a bright as fuck twinkle before it happened again only in reverse. After a few repeats of something similar too this the green stars smoothly swung kinda up and to the right, i thought "that looked cool as shit, but its just your eyes, chill."

Immediately after this a star to the South-East of all these going'ons swings down and to the east followed by a few more random stars, effectively melting my mind, it looked like they were dancing with each other.

My wife was too "preoccupied" with the TV to come out of the house and see, thankfully my 6 year old son stepped out here with me, and without me mentioning anything he points up and shouts "DADDY the stars are waving at each other!"

His instant notice calmed me down a bit, and we took turns flashing the laser up for a good bit with a few extremely bright and fast flash responses. Clouds started to roll in so we mozied on inside a few moments ago..

DMT and conciseness on earth being used as a power source for a advanced civilization? Perhaps used to fuel war on other alien species , or even other dimensional invaders?

So I think the biggest question , is why? Why were aliens and maybe why are they still so interested in our little planet? The only explanation ive heard is its because life isn't that common in the universe, but I think most would agree this is pretty unlikely.

So im going to put another theory up there. The aliens are interested in the natural hallucinogens that grow here on earth, Specifically DMT. DMT is known to be found in many living beings on earth like plants and even humans. We know very little about DMT but perhaps ETs have found away to harness the power of DMT for use in their own civilization. Using earth as basically some kind of energy source , a battery if you will. And maybe we are just one of many of these living batteries.

Cigar Shaped UFO in International Space Station Live Stream!

I saw a cigar-shaped UFO that appears to have some sort of propulsion trail or maybe it is exhaust fumes from the engine. The UFO appears greenish in color though that could be lighting tint and even appears to have windows or some kind of round features on the exterior of the object. This could be a meteorite or rocket too. I think the big light that appears a few times is not the sun itself merely the reflection of the sun on the arm of the ISS and the window of the camera somehow. Because at first I thought it was the sun but it disappeared and then reappeared a few times. I think it's somehow a reflection of the sun though I could be wrong but the circled object is not the sun or a solar flare or anything like that. Do watch the video until the end because it's on the last appearance of the sun beam that the object appears maybe interacting with the sun or just merely lit up by the presence of the sun beam at the last minute is more likely I think.

Will I get to see a Europa ocean exploration mission in my lifetime?

What looks like water plumes jetting out of the ice shell of Europa make it the best candidate for life on another planet. I am in my early 20s will I get to see the results of a submarine mission in Europa's ocean in my lifetime?

Is flash photography allowed in there? we won't blind anything right? Can we take creatures out of there, they'd die obviously.

When to expect internship results?

I sent in my application for summer 2019 internships last week, and I've just been wondering when I would expect to hear anything. The website says the application deadline is April 1st, but if jobs start in May/June is that really enough time for them to only start filling positions after the due date? I only ask because if I don't end up getting a position, I would like to make other plans for the summer.

Does anyone have the source of this memory?

I have a memory from when I was a young kid, roughly 6/7, of (from my perspective) a black triangle ufo floating only a few feet off the ground and moving down a street in the suburbs during the night. The scene was lit by the orange street lights and the ufo was vertical, like a shark fin. The only thing that I can think of is that I may have seen it on TV (maybe X-Files?) but that’s why I’m asking you guys if this scene was in any sort of media? Thanks in advance.
