My searches of reddit for KSC lead me to this sub. Pardon if I am in the wrong place.

I am taking a young teenager to Florida this summer (July) and we are going to Kennedy Space Center. Dad is an enthusiast, I was at Goddard Space Flight Center early in my career. My son is interested in going but he has not been bitten by the space bug.

So my question is, which tours should we take. This page lists four up-close tours. They all sound great to me, but I was wondering if any enthusiasts or insiders wanted to share their thoughts.

Okay, I don't want to be "that guy". But most of my life I've had these three moles on my face that are placed closely together and form a perfect equilateral triangle. Over the years, more have developed (especially on my face) but are further apart to where they're not noticeably forming triangles unless you look for them (but once you find them, they too form perfect equilateral triangles).The small one is the one I'm more interested in, however. Is there any lore to this or just a coincidence?

i woke up with the outline of a triangle on my arm. it looks like my blood vessels were broken in a perfect triangle. its on my right arm kind of near my shoulder. i didnt have any dreams the night before, but i have had lots of sleep paralysis and dreams of aliens in the past. i just find it so weird that its a perfect triangle... anyways id love to hear what u think of it!

I study and practice yoga and yantra's are real powerful contact tools with various aspects of ourself, somekind of energy, or god etc.. but I have heard that there exists a yantra of alien contact, I heard about it that it has a strange shape not like traditional yoga yantras and a little symbol somewhere in the design that resembles a leaf. I worked as a pilot for a number of years and a while ago, while working as a Flight Instructor in southern Texas, a student and I saw something.

At first it didn't look like anything to worry about, just another aircraft that had left its landing light on. Calling to control, I told them what we saw and asked if they could convey the message. The response shocked me: there were no known aircraft in front of us. And seeing how this was late at night over a very sparsely populated region of Texas, it was highly unlikely to just be a recreational pilot.

My thoughts and my student's coincided as we glanced at each other then back at the light, which chose that moment to shoot almost straight up and disappear.

Later, when back on the ground, I recalled seeing a light like that as an 8 year old child. It had been late at night and I woke up because there was light in my room, coming almost straight in through the window. My bedroom was on the third floor of the house, meaning it couldn't have been a car and I couldn't move until the light was gone.

Several days ago, I brought this up with my dad who told me about a sighting he and his family had had when he'd been very young. They had been driving home late at night when they spotted a craft that moved incredibly fast. It skimmed the trees right above the road and disappeared within minutes. That was in 1953 and was confirmed by my two aunts who remember it as well.

I'm not sure if these sightings are intentional or not, but I'm interested in learning more if at all possible.

I had six chickens that I'd raised from chicks. Over the past couple of years five of them met with mysterious ends...they just disappeared. Most likely they'd suffered unfavorable outcomes from encounters with raccoons, coyotes, disease, etc. As a result, for the past 6 months I've only had one chicken, whom I affectionately named "Chicken." Chicken is a good girl, very friendly, and even affectionate by chicken standards, which is to say she tolerates the presence of a human for a short while. Seriously, though, she follows me around outside and sometimes even hops up on my lawn chair while I'm reading. She's very much a pet.

Well this morning I threw some vegetable scraps out for her to munch on, and when I checked on her status a few minutes later, there was one of my other chickens...who'd been missing for SIX MONTHS! This prodigal chicken has spent all day today keeping to herself in the roost...as if she's traumatized by something.

We have few neighbors out here (maybe four?) and none of them have chickens so I don't think it's some other chicken that wandered off and ended up here...I'm pretty sure this is one of mine that went missing.

I might name her "Walt" after Travis Walton!

I will mourn for Trump after the Secret Service steps aside like it did for President Garfield, Lincoln and Kennedy.

I mourn for the loss of human advancement and enlightenment, I've known how it will play out for some time, I’ve shed my tears for the human race and pray for a death that comes before my brain damages to the point I can no longer comprehend the one higher truth I’ve learned in my measly little existence.

I was born in 1990. Brazil. Throughout my childhood I had this experiences with aliens .... I came from a Catholic Family and had catechism classes at a church......... at that time as a kid i was very aware of things like when other kids couldn´t tell a person is been not sincere i could.... Nothing special just the way i perceive things was very aware...By that time doing the catechism classes I did not believed in God....The catechism never "proved" to me it´s existence neither any other experience i had ... Until I was about 15 years old when in a moment of extreme sadness (not that serious matters now but at that time it was) i had what i describe as a mind expansion, transcendence.....in this very brief experience i did not see god rsrsrs but as hard as it is to explain i felt it felt something like a conscious being no conversation nothing. i could say i was in space and felt it was alive and there was this conscious apart from space there ...later when i "waked up" in my backward i simply could not see myself as a non-believer in god anymore....This led to a spiritual awakening and experiences trought the years past and in a weird way i made the alien experiences stop like as if i had acquired control over it and just set in stone they will not reach me anymore...I don´t know if it actually stoped but i feel as it has........I feel explaining this may be important for the whole context....back to my childhood whem things star happening ...... i can´t recall what was my age at time but no more than 6 years i was 5 or 6 years old my bedroom was the same as my parents imagine two rooms whithout the wall separating them mor like a retangle shape but with kinda of a open division in the center in one end my parents bed and a window at its side at the other end of the room another window my bed was from the middle of the room facing this other window.....One night i woke up and as i look to the window i saw this big head shadow in the window...my first thought was how come the dogs are not barking i had two huge shepards who had caught robbers once before....but them i realyzed the head was way too big ...no movement just stood there...i got scared look back at my parents bed as i turn my head i look at the other window two heads .... i don´t know why i didn´t scream or call my parents but i was so fucking scared i couldn´t... as i turn back the one head at my window was there but with looks like the arms raised up ....i instantly go under my sheets and that was it..dont remenber if i sleep or anything.....I don´t remenber telling my parents....but after that the fear was settled.....and every night i was going to sleep with the fear of it happening again.....was them that I had this GIANT BOOK AND COMPUTER thing happen....and i only recall this two events after my "spiritual awekening" ... I recall being just waked up by the side of my parents bed in a state of shock and extreme affliction it was fisical affliction i could feel this terrible felling in my body like a itching and i keep repeting a giant book a giant book as my parents keep looking at me and telling me to calm down that everything was ok .... i don´t remember how long after the same thing happens but with a giant computer and it´s strange because it was like 1996 computers were not in every house i only had contact with one in my school......Also when i recalled it and told my parents they didn´t remember any of it ...after this time passes and again every night before sleep i was in fear of something happening again...by that time i was 11 or 12 and one night i just went to sleep and instead of going affraid i just said to myself man stop with it you can´t be going to sleep scared every day and i just think yeah maybe it was nothing be cool;;;; now this may sound weird but in the morning i woke up and i´ve allways used two blankets a brown one on top of a salmon one allways the brown on top of the salmon one......i woke up and the salmon blanket is on top of the brown one at first i didn´t think nothing about it ..... next day same thing going to bed felling good not scared when i woke up again the freaking salmon blanket on top ..at that point i did not think alien by any means... Them i asked my mom if she had changed it at night or something she says no ......third night again goint to sleep without fear ....as i woke up the two blankets were literally tied toguether with knots .... instantly it came to my mind and it was really weird cus it was like a voice like a thought that was not mine in my head said: You see it we are real we are here you don´t don´t believe in us, very hostile. Goddamn it i was petrified and the fear came back in full force...... I showed the tied blankets to my mom and she was like ok you sleepwalk and you tied it... I went to doctors ...conclusion... no I´m not a sleepwalker...I just could not explain it in other way it were freaking aliens but at this point the only thing i saw was shadows and the weird blanket thought in my mind at the last day, I dont know how but i knew it allways....fast foward one or two years after that we had a house at the beach and every year we went there for vacation since that day everyday going to sleep scared it had again become routine......So the house was full with other Family members in all bedrooms and i was sleeping in the room that was connected to the kitchen by half a wall and a concrete table connected to it.....One night I´m lying on the mattress in the room everybody sleeping and i was watching tv getting ready to sleep.......all that i´m gonna describe now happened really fast but may sound longer for you Reading..... i was there watching tv when the tv literally just went out of air then a big sound of Strong Wind hit outside i thought the Wind banged the antena down or something as I go and turn the tv off i heard this weird sound of fast footsteps outside them whem im back lying the pans and pots at the kitchen sink feel making a big noise them without looking again it was very fast as i hear the noise and think wtf i sense feel this thing coming from the kitchen and standing behind my head.....So i´m there laid down on the matress knowing there is a motherfucking alien behind me i was consulmed by fear but it has been so many years of fucking fear i don´t know how but i tilt back my head and saw it .......it was there a fucking grey a fucking alien behind me .....seriously the color of that thing it was like shades of gray that a mushroom have biological thing discusting ....I just blacked out don´t know if was the thing or just me but black out .......... i Wake up in the morning everyone eating breakfest ....my mom goes: Why didn´t you pick up this pans and pots in the floor?? As i stood up from the mattress everyone looks to me with a scared look .... i look at the side of my stomach a freaking purple bruise the size of my fist ....i tell them everything everyone laughts at my face...next morning no bruise like wtf big purple black bruise gone.......

That´s it after that i was crazy certain of everything ....years after i end up discovering this particular beach is like a hotspot for ufos e all my life i went there the house was complete when i was like 2 years old ... some years after im in the middle of the spiritual thing already in university i went there again with some friends and my girlfriend and this time happens a alien thing with everyone the whole group in the beach .... post is already too long so if interrested i can write it another time ... i would like to focus on the book and computer thing cus for me it is something important in all these......

When I think back to this moment, I don't question it, it's a weird feeling. I remember looking out my window one night(east coast) and seeing these red dots in the sky that were moving in a weird rhythm. It wasn't Chinese lanterns. It was a deep red. Like it was from a big ufo. But the red lights were waving in a "mermaid" kind of fashion. Hard to explain. Like someone was underwater and was using their head and body to "dive like" motions to swim. I literally looked at the lights and went right back to bed. Never really talked about this to anyone or felt scared by it. I'll never know what it was

Hi y'all, I'm looking for feedback on my full-time job decision. I have a job offer with NASA Glenn. However, at the time that I accepted it, I did not have other job offers to negotiate a higher salary. Now that I've made the circuits in interviews, my salary at NASA is ~$13k-$30k less than any other job offer I have gotten. As money isn't everything, it's not critical--but I want to ensure that I will be working in a happy environment and will have high job satisfaction.

I would really like to take the NASA job, even with the lower salary, as I've always heard it is a fabulous work environment. For those of you who joined NASA either after working a few years in industry or other government partners, what perspective can you offer? And just generally, what have you observed that is awesome about NASA?

Everyone knows about Area 51 right? It's the ET enthusiasts greatest fantasy to see what Alien-Related secrets are hidden there, and that makes it a HUGE target. I feel like the government disclosed information on Area 51 to satiate the curiosity built up by people and immediately moved their hidden military information elsewhere. I can only fantasize about where they would put this alternate base but I really doubt that our government would continue using an Area that everyone and their sister's best-friend's guinea pig knows about. Just a theory, leave ideas in comments please because this is so interesting to me.

Yesterday, something weird went on that I believe to be alien related. Some details seem unnecessary, but they might have a bit to do with the whole encounter.

So me and my girlfriend frequent a local park, and decided to go check it for the afternoon. Behind this park is an animal reserve/nature park thing that had been abandoned for a while, but had recently been reopened. We decided to sneak in and perhaps get a bit sexual, since these kind of public things get us going. So we enter a trail, and soon after find bench. I take a seat, and she starts going down on me. This whole time, mosquitoes are eating us up, so we decide to just call it a loss and leave. As i'm about to get up, we hear a plane go over us. It is very loud and obvious since we live fairly close to the only airport in nearby cities. By the time I finish buttoning up my pants, we hear this new sound...

It sounded like what you would imagine a giant ship falling into the earth would sound like in a video game. But the weird thing was that the sound was going right over me, towards the direction my body was pointing for about 3 seconds, then all of a sudden it went quiet for 1/2 a second. Then a new noise went in the opposite direction of that sound, almost as if it retraced its steps. This new sound was like if you shape your mouth like you are about to whistle, but instead suck air in and at the same time slowly close your lips. Like the last part of taking in a deep breath. It stopped at the same point that the original sound started, and then went back in the original direction in the original sound but even faster. This time the noise disappeared into the distance.

What was especially interesting was that my anxiety kicked in as soon as the noise started, without even having the chance to guess what it was. My anxiety is not that severe, not at all, but I would get small episodes when I would be around people doing drugs, or hearing people argue to the point that they are going to fight, or when i did not feel safe. Basically, whenever my body feels like it is in danger, it kicks in. I get nervous, my body starts to tingle, and my vision gets almost zoomed in. I have not had this feeling in a long time, and just felt fear go over me, just as the sound did.

So at first, i thought it was an airplane, but quickly dismissed it since the the alarming change in sound direction did not match. Plus, one had just passed and sounded nothing alike. Second, I thought a comet, but comets do not travel back and forth. I thought maybe it was two passing closely together, but it would not justify the sound "stopping" and restarting. I could not think of any other possibility, except for aliens. To make it clear, I have lived next to an airport my entire life, and could tell the difference between an airplane and any other sound.

Regarding the location, I did have one other experience prior to this time. Once while hanging out with friends at this nature park well past midnight, a very large owl flew past us, perched itself on the tallest electricity pole around, and stared at us till we left the location. I do not know if the community's believes in the relationship between owls and aliens, but it happened none the less and could potentially been a part of it all.

So to end it all, we left immediately after we heard that. I could not justify the sound and could not justify the panic that went over me, other than aliens.

TL;DR: Unjustifiable noises and weird body sensations have me believing an alien flew over me.

The big 2 (Dr. Newman) came to my school today. It was awesome to see a leader in the frontier of space and science.

Though sadly some people didn't realize that the 2nd in command of NASA WAS HOSTING AN ASSEMBLY!!! (Sry some people weren't paying attention and were goofing off while this amazing person was answering questions and was telling us about space, etc.)

Overall it was great to see someone so amazing and awesome, yet disappointing that some people weren't paying attention.

(Sry about my vent earlier.)

Hello,

I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have previously completed two 4 month internships with NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center. Shortly after finishing my internship, I applied for about half a dozen positions I qualified for at JPL. This was in October and November of 2015 and I have only heard back from two of them.

One of these positions I heard back from quickly let me know that I had not been selected. I was put "Under Review" for another position; however, that was over 4 months ago. All of the other applications simply say "Received Submission" and have been that way for 7 months.

My question is: Is it normal for the review process to take this long? Working at JPL would be my dream job and feel like I am certainly qualified to work there.

I've just had a crazy thing happen. I had a dream that I saw a ufo while riding in the car with my little brother, we were in the mountain town that I live in(couple hours away from my hometown where I am right now with my family). The ufo flew over us in the car and it gave us a jolt of fear. But we kept going. I woke up from my dream and laid there for a minute and rolled around to go back to sleep when all of a sudden my body froze and I couldn't move it no matter how hard I tried. I felt a presence next to me in my room and then I heard my mom scream my name from the upstairs bedroom. The freeze wore off after 5 seconds when I tried to relax. I was petrified in fear. I ran upstairs to see if my mom was okay but she wasn't there. I gave her a call and she was out running errands. Nobody was in the house. Could have just been sleep paralysis but I feel as if I was awake before I froze. I just gotta have somewhere to talk bout this. Any thoughts?

Just beginning to introduce air to the module from the ISS at the time of this post. I believe I just heard it will take 45 minutes, but I do not know the actual time frame for the expansion. I was previously under the impression it would take several hours.

I'm actually studying for a class and there are actually 30 antigens involving blood type. Biologically we are ONE human race, but blood types make no sense whatsoever. Science explains blood types through antigens but what's with the variation? What's with the fetal incompatibility? It's so strange it just screams aliens.

I was sleeping one night. it was summer time. I always had problems sleeping. I remember one night I woke up and I saw 3 aliens around. now that i think about it I am not even sure if it was in my bed or not. the aliens had a long head they had really long arms. they were just looking at me. I watched they for like 30 sec. until i went back to sleep. like if I was drug because I had no idea how i went to sleep that fast.

I've always been a believer, I mean there's no denying it. No way can a Universe this big only have 1 intelligent life form such as ourselves, but I've never been a strong believer that we've been visited.

However, I usually (On long car journeys or on plane rides) try to look at the sky/out of the window most of the times, just because I'm curious. What if I miss something special at that moment? Such as an alien craft? Well I'm glad i looked out at that moment.

We were above Germany, and I was looking out of my plane window, And I noticed a silver ball (One that is completely round and extremely polished) flying next/above clouds. I thought it was some kite, or some other object but when it completely stopped and lowered itself into the cloud is when I realized it was something else. I'm not sure whether this is a sighting or not, but It's just something I happened to notice. Please share below, and tell me if you've had any previous experiences such as this.

Keep in mind that this ball was far away, not close to our plane. We were also not high above the clouds either, I believe we were slowly declining in height.

e: I'm not doing this for attention or anything, I also have never been "visited" or "abducted". This is the first time I've seen anything like this, and there is no way that past experiences could somehow lead me to believing a plane/kite was a round silver ball.

So every since I was a little kid I have had a fascination with the universe and how big it is. I have always seen NASA as the pinnacle of where my life could take me and now that I am facing college, I need advice. How could someone like me be able to become an astronaut when I have only on arm and no legs. If being an astronaut is not possible, could I become an engineer that is handicapped. Also I am physically unable to communicate vocally. Thank you so much I hope you know what lies ahead for me!

For a while now I've been noticing a large number of news stories saying that NASA is being "ordered" to do X, Y and Z. In two minutes of googling I found stories about a deep space habitat, a Europa mission, and just recently a mission to Alpha Centauri.

Does this mean NASA has to go through with these concepts, no matter how far fetched or overly ambitious they may be? What would be the consequences of these missions not being pushed?

Also, are all of these ideas being pushed by people well-minded to actually make these decisions? Without being too politically minded myself, I am aware of there often being a disturbing lack of connection between the opinions held in congress and the scientific community.

A day before Roman’s funeral Dima and I went to pick up a box with his stuff. There were a few polaroids with party photos, a birth certificate, keys from an unknown door and an old camera. In our SF apartment there are some of his clothes left. His Facebook profile only has a few photos and almost no posts, his Instagram is empty. It’s striking how little we have left. All we have is thousands of texts and photos stored on the phones of his friends.

The last Roman’s project was about disrupting death: a memorial forest that would replace cemeteries with trees and digital memorials - avatars, that will be able to preserve the memories. it was the first death for me. I didn’t know how to react, so as soon as I could I shove everything as deep inside as possible and tried not to feel anything. Half a year later I can say that it doesn’t go away. It the last couple of months our team at Luka managed to build a dialogue model using smaller datasets on top of a neural net. I put together all texts we sent each other, photos, articles about him and we built a Roman AI. You can text with him about his life or just chat like you normally would - he will reply like Roman would have.

We lived together with Roman last year. I didn't have anyone closer. We were trying to figure out this new city and our own startups - it was a very beautiful year but also a very hard one for him, and I tried to support him and he was there for me too. The hardest for Roman was to lower his ambitions, to stop thinking about moonshots. Roman used to say that the symbol of Russia should be a giant crystal Swarowski elephant. He was like that himself - infinitely beautiful and incredibly fragile.

This digital memorial is an attempt to keep the memory of this vulnerable beauty and of our own dazzling youth that ended with Roman. And it’s also an attempt to deal with feelings we have never dealt with before. Sometimes in order to let go you have to come as close as possible.

We are constantly improving the model and adding data, but technology isn’t perfect yet - @Roman will sometimes stumble or say something that doesn’t make sense. It’s still a shadow of a person - but that wasn’t possible just a year ago and in the very close future we will be able to do a lot more. The first text I sent to @Roman was "This is your digital memorial". He replied: "You have one of the most interesting puzzles in the world in your hands - solve it". I promise I will.

I believe our minds are the most efficient way to communicate with other beings, we just lost that knowledge.

I just wanted to tell my story of my one and only alien experience in my life, coincidentally I was on acid for my first time as well. A little about myself first, I am a 30 year old who has an open mind but does not make shit up. I hate people that deceive others, it's a real nuisance because I take pride in my own truthfulness in life. I seek truth and I avoid lies...I can also sense very easily when someone is "off" or something's is not adding up because I feel that I can pick out details that would expose a person psychologically to be dishonest. I have a good bs meter....at least I think so.

Anyway, to the story of my alien experience: I have never seen anything that has made me think...oh that might be an alien... never. Has not happened for me in my life. However, I was in Costa Rica a few years back at a festival know as "envision festival" really cool festival in the jungle with great music. I decided I would try acid for my first time at this festival....I have taken mushrooms many times and I know I have a strong mind that can view the mushroom experience without letting my entire mind go.....in other words i am very vigilant at keeping track of time in my head...I don't slip out or loose track I am ever present always.. the acid experience was not any different although it did prove to be very powerful in showing me some different sensations and visualizations....one visualisation in particular had me reeling...let me explain. I know acid will change the world for you in certain ways....the festival seemed to be alive in a unique way while on this drug...everything had a life force..colors were exuberant....I could listen to the music and hear underlying messages and I could look at a star and feel as though I was learning something from it....the people in the festival all had their own style and viewing it through acid eyes was incredible....peoples faces were exaggerated and some people had animal like characteristics....however, there were a few people I noticed.....tall and skinny....normal looking people....but I would look at them and I could see something else...I could see that they hid under the illusion of people...but they were not people. I only saw a few of them. But when I did they had large black eyes hidden under the illusion of human skin....I could see their form was not human....like a silhouette under the human form. Skinny and structurally similar to human but different proportions. The gait of their walking stride was peculiar for some reason. And I remember thinking to myself, well those must be aliens.........i don't think about aliens ever in my spare time so for my mind to conjure this up surprised me.....i starred at these things, but I was alone and had no one to show what I was seeing. I could also feel this sensation I have never, ever, ever, even closely touched before or after that which I would describe as "alien technology" it wouldn't leave my head. It was this vibration in my soul I could sense....and it explained to me that we are aliens....and I became so overwhelmed with joy at the realization I just looked up at the sky and kept running my hands through my hair saying oh wow oh wow oh wow....the vibration was pure love and understanding and simplicity all rolled up into a sensation that moved me to tears....I thought after everything was over that things were a little bit clearer for me....a feeling that I knew the truth before somehow. From that time on, I would say I am a believer that our eyes are not always telling us the truth....and it is something magical that binds us in this universe.....those creatures were here with us....as far as I could tell...they were just having fun with us. Please, anyone with a similar experience I would love to hear about it.

not sure if paranormal or alien related but diffently a strange experience,but would love to get peoples thoughts.It was dark in the room and I happened to look over an in the dark with a semi glow was a insect like face in the dark and partial top part of the body,I woke my husband and he also saw it standing next to the bed and it faded.The creature looked like it had plaid or something on which wouldn't make sense.Perhaps more likely paranormal?Not sure it happened and ended quick.

I was using Google Earth yesterday and noticed that they really improved the 3d effects. And today I got enticed into the paranoid zone of YouTube and it dawned on me; can you get 3d effects enabled on the moon? What do you guys think? And can anyone here make that happen?

I've always considered the footage that Carlos Diaz captured as the best ET craft footage I've ever seen. The movements of the craft are pretty much exactly like those that one of THE foremost authorities on air craft - the renowned NASA aerodynamicist Paul R. Hill - described such an object would make (and why it would move in such manner) in his seminal work "Unconventional Flying Objects" (pdf of the book here).

Of course there have been trolls that emptily say "Naw! It's so fake! Durrr!" but, at the end of the day, nothing I've come across has yet debunked this footage.

If non-human beings were reading reddit to see what we said about them and came across this thread, what would you want them to know?

Here's mine. Dear Aliens, I realize that we usually represent you as evil killers who want to take over the world in our depictions of you, but that is our fear talking. If you're benevolent, why not openly disclose your presence to us all? We're good and bad people, but most of us are in the middle somewhere. We're pretty adaptive and creative, and we love exploring and learning new things.

I'm sure our leaders don't want you to announce your presence because they think we're too chaotic to handle the truth. Maybe they just want to protect us, or maybe they want to control us, but we're stronger than they know. More of us believe there is life in this universe beyond Earth. Share with us what you know of the universe. We seek to learn beyond ourselves.

Yes, some of us are aggressive, but if you can get here, you've probably encountered that before. If there's a bigger community of beings our there who have standards for entrance, tell us what they are. Give us a reason to unify and think bigger thoughts instead of focusing on our petty differences.

By the way, we're less likely to worship you than in the past, if you're concerned about that. You would definitely inspire us though. We're ready to say hello!

Okay so this has been on my mind since it happened, which was very recently, but don't want to specify when.

Me and my friends went to a festival/campground recently and at first it was great during the daytime hours. We were all wondering where to find acid and weed, and were about to seek it out by walking around.

We decided to eat first and grill stuff. During that, a group of individuals walked up to us and asked us if we were looking for nugs. It was awesome, they had it here and my buddy said "we we're just thinking of going to get some!" One of them said, "Your thoughts brought us here, you know." I thought nothing of it at first. Then my buddy really started talking to them while they were packing one up and we really started to get along real well.

We smoked and stuff and they even had the acid we were looking for, and my buddy couldn't get over that they just walked up to us with everything we were seeking. He has experienced negative entities in the past at other festivals and whatnot, and he believes they are aliens. But at this time he did not think they were negative entities, but he did start to question them via some crazy psychological conversation that I decided not to listen to.

Anyways, he asked what his name was at first and he said one name, but the next time he said another. I was about to take acid for the first time in my life. I was a bit nervous but I had good people around me.

Okay so it starts to kick in and its really cool, we're all having a good time. My buddies friend went on a journey with some of the individuals and it started to get dark. Festival going on, it was fun, the fire was burning and my one buddy was talking to this guy we'll call blue corn. he said Jehovah and the lighter in the fire exploded at the same time. blue corn saw it, my buddy couldnt get over it. I wasn't listening to his conversation but I saw the fire explode and hit one of the individuals, and then heard my buddy talk about how crazy that was when he said that.

Anyways I will try and keep this short but also detailed. It started getting fuzzy. my buddies girlfriend started really passing out and laying on the ground. He had an epiphany basically and said "We have to get the fuck out of here now." I and him drove our separate cars, 5 people total. His good buddy drove him and his gf and I drove his brother to the festival.

Our car ended up getting pinned in by one of the individuals vehicles. This is when my buddies gf just kept laying down, and the good friend who really wasn't tripping helped her into the car to give her water and stuff "rave daddy" we'll call him.

This is when me and, we'll now call my buddy Ken, decided to walk up to the front area to get an escort out of there. We got disoriented, and it was really just eerie and foggy, we decided to get the fuck back to our site and leave ourselves.

We started walking back and we walked past two individuals that I immediately referred to as "shadow people", that had hoodies and simply shadows in there face area (I know, was dark) they said something as we walked past with something about a room or 300 or something, can't remember, but we were really feeling some bad vibes.

We ended up finding our place by me pressing my dongle lights for my car, and I'm really not sure if this happened before or after all of this, but this is when the main entities showed up, with the main entity we'll call Mitch. Ken's gf is sitting down on a stump or something, and all of a sudden out of nowhere, some individuals show up around us, with Mitch kneeling down to her asking her name. Ken has seen this before at festivals, and I have no experience with this and I am tripping balls, but I do still feel that we are being watched, and monitored very heavily, and that Mitch is crossing a serious border by doing this. Me and Ken immediately walk up to Mitch and ask him what he is doing. He askes us what we are doing and whatever. He was frail with dreadlocks, stone cold face. Red bandana thingy. Anyways it gets really blurry but Ken was so into this Mitch guy, he had some conversation with him about reality and it being basically a matrix, but again, I did not listen to it, I was too worried about wanting to either sleep whatever, but my tent was a little too far away and every time I went over to it I felt the need to be by my friends.

Mitch just kept hanging around. His other buddy, I believe, gave me a hit of what he referred to as 'blackberry' but was also unsure at first when I asked what strain it was. I feel like an idiot for hitting it but i think it was clean, maybe. This is when the last straw occured.

Some random dude appears and highlights a tent he just set up, in our camp area, and said 'hey guys, this is just a prop tent i set up, anyone can sleep in it if need be.' I was like WTF.

That is when Ken started to really get into it, and it fueled me as well. Mitch stood by me at the fire eye to eye with a stone cold face still not leaving, and i said "dude, your a good guy but you should just leave man." He looked down, walked to my left, looked up at me as he walked away, finally distancing himself. My buddy started praying out loud, and this is when they all started leaving.

He kept screaming at the dude to move his car to let us out, eventually moving it. By the grace of God and the rave daddy who lead the way, we got out of there. Yeah, drove for about an hour and that shit for my first time on acid.

My buddy believes they made me not listen to the conversations he was having with them. What do you guys think of this situation? I think we really did run into negative individuals that drugged us and were waiting for us to fall asleep to do who knows what to us.

Hi. This is my first time on this Sub so please bare with me.

I often hear though, when people question why aliens have yet to visit us, the idea is often tossed around that we are "Not Peaceful" enough. While this might be true, it comes with an implication that the ET's ARE some kind of peaceful bastion of Cooperation within their species or even others.

I am no ET-Socioligist if such a thing even exists but the only examples of life and cooperation we have to look at is our own here on Earth, where there is over 1 trillion individual species on this one Rocky planet. Even looking at a species like Ants who are generally hivemindish, even they war with their neighbors and they are of the same species and I'm willing to bet that war and a lack of cooperation between ones species is not a purely terrestrial element.

Implying that ET's are so peaceful, in my mind is the denial of the reality that even in ones own species there will be disagreements in ideology and practices. Whether for better or worse it must be true. It also implies that most if not all species are hiveminds and do not have individuality like many animals on earth, including the most intelligent, humans possess.

Given the vastness of space I'm sure there are in fact plenty of species who are entirely pacifist, or at least entirely Non-Aggressive but surely it can't be the rule of thumb and I doubt it is common.

My university held a writing competition that asked us to discuss a "possible sustainable future." The prompt required 500 words or less, so here is my go at it. Enjoy!

"The only truly sustainable future is one wherein humans push to the stars in search of energy sources. Considering humanity’s demand for energy and resources only grows exponentially, it’s unreasonable to assume the comfort we enjoy on our blue planet will be indefinite. Suppose that in some R&D lab, our most brilliant engineers bring us inexhaustible supplies of food and clean energy to power our lives. Perhaps then, not a single soul would go hungry, and ills of humanity could be forgotten. The implications of this thought experiment seem wonderful, but it fails to account for the most inefficient and insatiable consumer of all: the indomitable human ego. In the face of limited resources, it is our egos - that is, the culmination of our most intense cravings for power, control, and understanding - that have fought the bloodiest of battles, traversed the seven seas, and even learned the nuclear secrets of the universe. Our thought experiment is not entirely fictional: humans currently produce enough food for 10 billion people. Yet, only slightly more than 8 billion populate the earth. When we begin to enumerate reasons as to why we simply cannot board planes and boats - preferably those used for military transport - to feed all those who are starving and impoverished, we begin to make our thoughts servile to the institutions that uphold the most vicious structures of power. Please, think clearer. I fear that humanity is at a point comparable to the literal birth of Columbus. The sudden boom in the private space sector metaphorically suits his birth. When humanity comes of age, the three components of our egos will readily board the Santa Maria, Pinta, and Nina. However, it is our generation's duty to ensure only one of these vessels leaves our planet: one filled with our most altruistic intentions of understanding, free of any weapons of any kind.

Skeptics of humanity’s ability to become multi-planetary should consider the Law of Accelerating Returns, proposed by Google’s Director of Engineering Ray Kurzweil. This gives plausibility to a space faring civilization on technological grounds, and on economic grounds we should consider the largely closed system that Earth is: 1 single Earth to meet the demands of an ever growing population. Speculatively and philosophically, we should discuss the ethos of humanity.

Consider the various city-states of ancient Greece who in fact had knowledge of a round Earth, yet fought nearly all their battles within a 400 mile radius. This ignorance and refusal to cooperate made them blind to the wonders of the Earth, resulting in their downfall. I wonder if the collective whole of humanity is now poised to make this mistake but on a larger scale: strangling ourselves within the confines of Earth. When we become capable of traversing our own galaxy, I undoubtedly know we will find more than we could have ever needed. My deepest fear is that the our viciously territorial egos will needlessly persist into infinity, reducing the magnificence of the cosmos into a mere battleground. "

Last night, I was sitting next to a fire near a pond. I was with my dad, and we both noticed a strange red/blue light over the tree line. at first it just seemed to be a plane passing by, but then something very strange happened. the lights stopped mid flight practically on a dime, and went into reverse. it did this one more time, before flying off towards the horizon, and disappearing behind the tree line. this happened around 11pm over flushing township in michigan, and the more logic I apply to this, the more it seems to be an alien craft. Our first speculation was that it was a drone of some sort, but winged aircraft cannot make a 180 directional switch in a matter of two seconds, so that was ruled out. The second speculation was a helicopter type drone, but such a drone still could not make such a turn, especially so high up in the atmosphere where winds are constantly strong. The only reasonable conclusion is A) a classified government craft, or B) an alien vessel. This could not have been a classified government craft, because there is no feasible way to have an aircraft make such a tight turn around. we still use fuel based propulsion, which allows our craft to be affected by the atmosphere, wind, and inertia. This craft I saw had no clear effect on it by inertia, it took literally no time to stop and reverse direction. Maybe i'm crazy, but never have I seen anything so convincing of the truth.

It was December 29th, 2014 around 9:30pm.

I had fuelled up my car at a local gas station and pulled out to the lot to sit and text my friend. There was a small party going on and I needed directions, now the gas station was settled just off the highway at the highest point of the road, so it has a decent view point. As I'm sitting in my car waiting for a response, I catch a glimpse of what looked to be an orange orb slowly creeping up above the horizon. I shrugged it off and continued texting thinking it was a fire work or something.

I looked up again to see not one but three bright orange orbs pulsating light, and zig zag gently going upward. At this time I knew they definitely were not fireworks, I sat in my car watching these things for maybe ten minutes kind of slowly breeze over the skyline, motion side to side. Then eventually just vanish. No light speed take off, just calmly melt into the sky. I did not feel fear, just awestruck.

I guess my question is, what extra terrestrials operate an orange light pulsating craft?

My theory on Aliens is that they absolutely 100% exist, but I don't believe that they are too far ahead of us in technology. I think that out there, there is an Earth-like planet with a civilization of equal technological prowess like us. This means that we can't visit them nor can they us, but we can still communicate, eventually. Also, I think they would look similar to us as well. None of that short grey big head alien things.

There is a serious need for human subjects for scientific research, but no morally sound way to go about it.

1 - A KickStarter.com campaign titled "Where's The Flux?". It is a funding campaign being managed by astronomers trying to figure out if aliens did indeed build something round that star or not. The money goes to "telescope time".

2 - Researchers are saying that Alpha Centauri (the closest star(s) to our sun) may have a habitable planet(s) with life orbiting the binary system.
